The White Lotus Season 2 Episode 5 starts with Albie and Lucia having sex in his room. Portia spends the night with Jack. Tanya calls Portia and asks her to bring some cute things as the men they met the other day will throw her a party at Palermo. Ethan finds the torn condom packet in the washroom. He asks Harper about it. She questions him in return. Ethan tells her that Cameron had sex in their room with the Italian girls (Mia and Lucia).
Ethan tells Harper that one of the girls tried to kiss him, but he didn’t let anything happen. He tells her he took molly with them. Harper is still upset. After sleeping with Albie, Lucia asks him to pay her. Albie says he had no idea that she was a hooker. He tells her he will give her the money later.
Tanya tells Portia she should’ve helped the spa manager Belinda (from season 1). But she believes healers are witchy, and probably, Belinda put a curse on her. Albie says he needs to go to the bank to get some money. Dominic is suspicious. Later, Dominic asks Lucia if she’s charging stuff from his room. He tells her to stay away from Albie and asks her not to say anything. He also tells them not to go to his father’s room.
Cameron, Daphne, Ethan and Harper have breakfast together. Cameron talks about their big night out and lies about everything he and Ethan did. But Harper mentions molly and drinks, leaving Cameron puzzled. Mia asks Valentina if she can sing for the guests at night. The hotel manager says no and informs that Giuseppe is not dead.
Portia and Albie meet in the hotel corridor and have an awkward conversation. She informs him that she’s going to Palermo for 2 nights. Valentina again tries to strike up a flirty conversation with her colleague Isabella. She moves her male staff member Rocco away from the desk and Isabella. Tanya and Portia travel to Palermo with the men on a lavish boat. Portia and Jack also spend a romantic time together.
Cameron, Daphne, Ethan and Harper are out to have a wine tasting at Etna. Harper drinks a lot of wine. She asks Cameron if he and Ethan ever slept with the same girl in college. Ethan says that Cameron would always ends up sleeping with the girl first. Ethan also says Cameron has mimetic desire. The conversation gets weird, and Harper asks if the two men ever watched each other having sex. Cameron says that they didn’t have many rooms in college, so probably. Harper taunts, saying, ‘old habits die hard,’ and there’s an awkward silence. Tanya tells Portia she’s jealous that she’s having a good time with Jack.
During lunch, Dominic tells Albie that he doesn’t like him spending time with Mia and Lucia. Albie doesn’t like how judgemental his father and grandfather are towards both the girls. Ethan later tells Cameron that Harper found a condom wrapper on the couch. Cameron is now worried. Tanya’s new friend Quentin tells her they’re going to take her to an Opera.
Albie and Lucia take a swim in the pool. Lucia asks him if he wants to spend another night together. Albie says he doesn’t want to exploit her. Lucia says she doesn’t want any money and likes him. Tanya is excited to be at the Opera and to see the Queen of Sicily. Cameron tries to calm Lucia down at night and tells her that he will pay her soon. Albie asks Lucia about Cameron, and she tells him that he owes her money.
Albie and Lucia share a romantic kiss, and seeing them getting close bothers Dominic. Dominic and Bert get into a conversation blaming each other for their infidelity. At dinner, Cameron asks Harper if she ever had a threesome. Harper says ‘maybe’ and starts sharing the details. Cameron touches her thigh and makes her uncomfortable. Mia cleverly convinces her to let her sing at the hotel by mentioning how she knows she likes women.
While Tanya is at the Opera, Portia and Jack go out drinking at Palermo. They step out of a bar, and the waiter starts chasing them. Jack says he didn’t pay as he forgot his wallet. After dinner, Daphne and Harper sit together. Harper tries to tell her that something happened when they were in Noto. Daphne tries to change the topic and indirectly indicates that maybe she should have kids.
When Lucia and Albie head out for a walk, Alessio tries to kiss her. She pushes him away. After the Opera show, Jack and Tanya get to know each other more. Quentin talks about his past love life. A drunk Portia and Jack return to their room. Mia plays the piano and sings for the guest at The White Lotus. The episode ends with Lucia and Albie spending another night together. Tanya watches Jack having sex with his uncle Quentin.
