The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Overview
The Uncanny Counter Season 2 (경이로운 소문 2: 카운터 펀치) brings the return of the supernatural mystery comedy-drama of the same name directed by Yoo Seon-dong. The show stars Cho Kyeong-kyu, Yoo Joon-sang, Kim Se-jeong, Yeom Hye-ran, Ahn Suk-hwan, and Yoo In-soo in the lead roles alongside other cast members.
The new season continues the story of the group of Counters who catch evil spirits from the afterlife who have come in search of immortality. With new members joining the gang and bigger evils coming their way, the Counters are ready for a counterattack and stop anyone who comes their way.
The Uncanny Counter 2 takes over tvN’s Saturday-Sunday 9:20 PM KST time slot previously occupied by See You in My 19th Life.

Pil-gwang has his eyes on Ju-seok’s powers and is now ready to kill him to get stronger. The Counters find out about his intentions and are ready to stop him, however, So Mun is shocked when he finds out about Ju-seok’s control of the territory. Later, Pil-gwang comes in front of the press and is ready to reveal the truth behind Min-ji’s death which will then trigger Ju-seok’s rage. Will Ju-seok lose control and let the evil spirit inside him take control at last?
The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Episode 9 Recap
Gelly takes away So Mun’s memories and his powers after which hell breaks through as Pil-gwang tries to end her while the Counters stop him. Soon, Jang-mul steps into the scene and saves the Counters on time. Meanwhile, Wi-gen disappears and leaves everyone worried.
Later, the Counters think of ways to bring So Mun back and find out that his soul is still inside him and Ha-na can bring him back by entering his mind. Ha-na tries it and finds So Mun who is scared to get close to her as he believes that people will die if around him. She understands that he believes that they are all dead.
Meanwhile, the Counters decide to go behind Gelly as she is vulnerable without Pil-gwang’s backing. Through Jae-youl, Mae-ok gets information on Lee Chung-jae and the team decides to capture him along with Gelly who would be there for her money.
The plan succeeds as Ha-na is able to summon Gelly and send back the Chinese Counter’s soul, while Mo-tak captures Lee Chung-jae. Later, Gelly is sent to the police but Pil-gwang kills her on the way. Meanwhile, Ju-seok lures Jang-mul out and gets information about the Counters’ base from him.
Later, Ha-na once again enters So Mun’s mind and sees him surrounded by villains of his past and present, which changes to a scene from the hotel and finally to the accident where he lost his parents. However, Ha-na is soon able to pull him back from his dazed state and assures him that everyone is fine and waiting for him.
So Mun believes her this time and returns to the people he loves.
