The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 10 Recap
The episode opens with Belly living her life in Paris, with a new job and apartment, healing her wounds and learning more about herself. Although it’s lonely and a little difficult, and two jobs don’t help, she’s holding on… with a deep aching for home that doesn’t go away. Back at home, Jeremiah continues to be a fuckboy while Taylor and Steven continue to date, hopefully with more success this time around.
At Taylor and Steven’s Friendsgiving party, it is revealed that Jeremiah is couch surfing at Steven’s, doesn’t have a job and is lying to Adam about going to Finch. It’s a terrible situation, after which Adam, frustrated with his son’s lack of interest, decides to cut him off. As Christmas approaches, Conrad agrees to go to Laurel’s party, where Jeremiah will be present, while Belly decides to stay back in Paris. In a surprising twist, Conrad writes a heartfelt letter to Belly, hoping she’s happy.

At Christmas, Steven and Conrad have a heartfelt chat before Jeremiah shows up, and afterwards, he quits his job after Adam stops funding his and Denise’s side project. As the time for dinner approaches, Laurel finds Jeremiah sitting outside the house in his car, and she gives him a sympathetic shoulder to cry on, assuring him that everything will be ok. In the end, he chooses not to come in and spends the night with Denise, who asks him to forgive everyone for his own sake.
Later, Taylor decides to visit Belly in Paris, and the two friends have a happy reunion. On New Year’s, Jeremiah reaches out to Belly, much to her surprise, and Belly apologises to Jeremiah for the past. He, however, forgives her, telling her that they should keep the past in the past. Conrad, meanwhile, sends Belly a present – Junior Mint, with another letter. Taylor asks her to get it on with Benito, and, after some thinking, she kisses him at midnight.

The two start a relationship and, as graduation approaches, Belly wonders whether she should stay in Paris permanently. Laurel encourages her to choose her own path, and she can’t help but wonder what would be best for her. On Susanna’s death anniversary, Jeremiah and Conrad finally face each other at her grave, and the latter apologises profusely for everything. The two of them fight, but Conrad makes him realise that he was on the same boat as him at some point. In the end, though, they can get through their differences and find common ground, and Jeremiah gives him his blessing to do the right thing and follow his feelings.
Belly, meanwhile, moves into her new apartment and is settling in well with Benito and finally decides to write back to Belly. At home, Conrad gets an opportunity to go to Brussels and plans to go to Paris and meet Belly. He’s confused about his choices, but decides to go through with it anyway. Elsewhere, Belly gets ready for an exciting summer.
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 10 Review

Ok, if I said that I am not excited for episode 11, it would be a lie, but I am a little confused as to why we couldn’t finish the series at episode 10. Although the episode gives a lot of healing energy for all the characters, I am still miffed that Belly decided to start dating before she could completely get over Conrad. I am also quite annoyed with Taylor starting this insanity in the first place. Moreover, I think it’s a little unfair for Conrad and, to an extent, Jeremiah, sitting around moping for Belly while she just gets to live her life. Conrad, especially, needs a better storyline rather than just wishing to get Belly back.
I enjoyed the pacing, though, and it helps that we didn’t sit around at one spot moping and wasting time for too long. In the end, it’s Belly I truly have a problem with… here’s to hoping things look up next week!
