The Mole is a reality game show on Netflix, where twelve players work together in challenges to add money to a pot that only one of them will win at the end. Among the players is one person who has secretly been designated “the Mole” and tasked with sabotaging the group’s money-making efforts.
The cast members competing in the series are Avori Henderson, Casey Lary, Dom Gabriel, Greg Shapiro, Jacob Hacker, Joi Schweitzer, Kesi Neblett, Osei White, Pranav Patel, Samara Joy, Sandy Ronquillo, and William Richardson. The show is presented by MSNBC host Alex Wagner.
-The Mole Episode 9-10 Review Contain Some Spoilers-
The last episode ended with another quiz elimination between Joi, Avory, Kesi, Will and Jacob. Out of these five contestants, one will be eliminated in the ninth episode and the other four will move on to the Finale. And without much further ado, Jacob got eliminated from the game. So if your bet was on Jacob being the mole, unfortunately, you lost.
Throughout the show, the group travel through the wilds of Australia from the Daintree Rainforest in Queensland down to cosmopolitan Sydney, while enduring high-stakes challenges along the way. And the last two episodes bring them to the Snowy Mountains for a physically challenging task, but with great rewards.
The group of remaining 4 contestants is divided into two teams – the Blue team includes Joi & Kesi and the Red team consists of Avori & William. Each team must follow a trail to the summit of a mountain, finding three beacons along the way.

At each beacon, teams can use a tracker to find ice blocks with money frozen inside and load them onto a sled before proceeding. Each team can collect a total of $10,000 across the three beacons. For each ice block that reaches the summit within two hours, its amount of money is added to the pot.
If you have been watching the show and somewhat know, how the characters behave then you can definitely imagine, which team brought most of the money and which team, didn’t. As usual, Will was pushing through the snowy path to take all of the money to the top, while Joi got lost even with a beeping tracker. I seriously doubt if she even is a pilot.

Anyhow, the task ended successfully as both the teams reached the top and put in a significant amount of money in the pot, thanks to the Thor doppelganger. But it also gave the contestants a bit more clarity, about who could be the mole and some may have been distracted by the fake mole moves.

When they wake up the next morning, the group is presented with four briefcases and they must collectively agree to assign each player one of four briefcases worth $0, $1,000, $3,000 or $8,000. After the next elimination, the value of the three surviving contestants’ briefcases is added to the pot while the value of the eliminated contestant’s briefcase is removed.
If they cannot agree, then no money is earned for the pot. At this point, the actual mole made a mistake last minute, which could have made them more suspicious, and the reason they got caught. After the assigning, they had the quiz and Avory gets eliminated from the competition.
For some reason, I was glad that she was out because in trying to throw suspicion on herself, she didn’t do anything in the challenges. If she were to make it to the finals, it would be like stepping on other people’s hard work to add money to the pot and she just takes it away. Being a gamer professionally, she really had a weak game plan and no good strategy.

Leading us to the finale episode, in the last challenge of the show, the group had 30 minutes to collect three canisters worth $5,000 at three zones on Bare Island. At the Red Zone, they must use two poles to collect the canister suspended above a pit without dropping it. At the White Zone, one group member must use suction pads to cross a series of pipes to reach the canister without touching the ground.
At the Blue Zone, one group member must cross a minefield to collect the canister within five seconds and throw it to another group member who must catch it for the canister to count. Throughout the mission, several drones fly around the island, and the mission is failed if the drones detect movement for three seconds.

Summing Up: The Mole Episode 9-10
The last mission started to look like a failure but the last three contestants saved it, at the last minute. This marks the end of all the challenges and chances to add money to the pot. All that remains is to reveal the identity of the Mole. For the series finale, all the contestants were invited for the ultimate reveal and they all were making assumptions about the mole and the majority were actually right.

To give a hint, if you look at the last few episodes and see which remaining contestant was in the limelight for failing the tasks or being directly suspicious, then you will have your answer. And if you are wondering if anyone guessed it correctly, then a deserving person won the game and took home a whopping amount.
Talking about the show overall, then I believe it was pretty obvious who the mole was, in the later half of the episodes. Apart from the first few episodes, there wasn’t any secret mission for the mole or any big sabotages, that would give a shock. The mole didn’t even do much after 5th episode and the excitement of not getting caught blew their cover.
The Mole is currently streaming on Netflix.
