The latest instalment of the series starts with Hannah confronting Bailey about Owen’s past revelations. She states that her father had changed his name, and was actually living under a different alibi. There are also indications that Bailey’s identity might be altered by Owen, as a way of covering the tracks completely.
The investigation channel doesn’t take a break after this discovery and further pushes Bailey to look deeper into the case. This time around, Hannah makes use of Owen’s college stories and tales, to construct a vivid imagery of the past characters. She takes the help of Bailey’s memory (yet again) to try to deduce the real identity of his father.
After much circling, both of them boil down the theories to Owen’s college professor. A sharp and award-winning math instructor who ridiculed him when the shop coder failed miserably in his class. Both Baily and Hannah make use of this string of clues to reach out to the professor and learn about Owen’s real name and association.
At first, the math professor refuses to help the mother and daughter duo. However, when Hannah provides him with the complete context, he gives in to the situation and leads them to his cabin.

She further ambushes him by foretelling his superiors and makes sure that he won’t coincide with the case anymore. On the other hand, she remains unaware of the bag of half a million dollars, which he had already taken into his possession.
Back at the college, Bailey and Hannah learn about some new revelations. They get a phone call from the church and get notified about an off-season wedding, which occurred during the same timeline as Owen. This further complicates things, as Hannah receives a new name and identity, which resembles his husband. In the end, we get to see a distinct image alongside Owen, that resembles Bailey’s face. Thereby leaving an air of suspicion about the Michael family.
