The Killer’s Shopping List (살인자의 쇼핑목록) is a 2022 South Korean Comedy Thriller based on the novel of the same name by Kang Ji-young. The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 5 Recap
In The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 5, we see Yul running away from somewhere and hiding in her playhouse. The ‘Five Dollar’ sees her going inside and tries to lure her out of it, using one of her belongings. He has Yul’s mom’s mobile phone that he has stolen from Yul’s playhouse. The chairwoman sees him with Yul and thinks that he is trying to hurt her and calls her father. Dae-sung and his mom are also searching for her and find her when they hear the noise.
Yul’s father doesn’t let anyone talk to Yul and takes her home. When Yul wakes up from sleep, her father calls Dae-sung’s mother to inform her about her well-being. He also says that he asked Yul about the murderer but she said that she hasn’t seen anything. However, Yul has been having nightmares of a monster trying to kill a young woman. Her father tells her to stay away from older men who are too nice. He points out to her that if Dae-sung ever tries to see inside her clothes, she should tell her father right away.
Kang Sung-yoon tells Dae-sung that Cho Yoon-ho is suspicious and has a weird obsession with Yachae. Dae-sung didn’t suspect him because he is childhood friends with him. Yoon-ho accompanies Yachae to her home every night and Dae-sung follows them to see if Yoon-ho does something suspicious. He holds Yachae’s hand and doesn’t let go even when it hurts her. He asks her if he should follow her to the third floor when she never told him where her house is. However, Dae-sung leaves after he sees Yoon-ho leaving the premises.
Yachae reaches home safely but she hears her door lock opening when someone puts in the password. She runs to her bedroom and locks the door but the murderer tries to break the lock with his knife. Yachae blocks the door by a heavy cupboard and calls the police. By the time the police arrived, the murderer had run off. Yachae quits the job on next day and decides to leave the town for a while. Yoon-ho looks disturbed by it and tries to follow her but Dae-sung’s mom doesn’t let him.
The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 5 Ending
The chairwoman and the product head from MS Mart both visit Yul’s dad for their realty issues and try to use Yul and her mom’s sickness to get close to him. He gets angry at them and tells them to leave. The chairwoman then complains to him about an empty apartment using electricity and tells him to take care of it. The Chairwoman goes back to check the apartment and finds its door unlocked.
The Chairwoman sees a clean house and a big refrigerator. She gets shocked when she opens it and sees inside and just when she is about to run, someone catches her. The criminal has tied her hands and closed her mouth with tape and he brings a glue gun to her eyes as she tries to scream. The woman manages to escape from the apartment but the criminal throws her down and she dies. Recently, Yoon-ho bought glue sticks from MS Mart which strengthens him as a suspect.
The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 5 Review
In The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 5, Yul’s father, Cho Yoon-ho and the product head, all look suspicious to a point. The episode raises more questions than it gives any answers. The thrill has increased as we can now watch the criminal’s perspective as well.
