The Kardashians Episode 5 starts on Kim Kardashian’s birthday! We see Kim studying for her Bar and, determined not to make her birthday her priority this year as she did last year. But, her family and best friends throw in a little surprise brunch for her to take a little break from studying. We also see Kourtney reveal to Kris that she stepped on her engagement ring, accidentally, breaking it. However, Travis handled the situation perfectly to get the ring fixed. However, the Scott situation still looks untouched by Kourtney at this point.

Soon enough, it is the day for Kim’s Bar exam and, she shares why studying the Law became so important to her. Kim shares her insecurity and the feeling of not being respected enough as a celebrity with a sex tape. So, the journey of Law that started off with her being curious and wanting to help people turned into something personal soon and, something she wanted to do for herself.

After the Bar exam, Kim and Kourtney get talking and we get some insight into the Kim-Kanye situation. After the revelation that he had walked out during her SNL monologue in The Kardashians Episode 4, Kim further talks about an interview where Kanye stated that SNL made her say that she divorced him, which isn’t true yet as he hasn’t signed the divorce papers. Kourtney inquires about it and also how Kim perceives herself. Kim talks about trying to find herself, fashion-wise, mostly as Kanye had been a helping hand to her. She also brings to light how she avoids talking about what she went through with Kanye because he is not doing the show with her.

The Kardashians Episode 5 gives us one of the first Kendall-related segments and, it has Hailey Bieber starring in it. We see Kendall in her post-recovery stage and, being a hypochondriac, she still isn’t feeling well. Hailey and Kendall are out getting themselves some NAD when we move to the next segment about Kris meeting Scott. And, it is spicy! Kris and Scott hang out at a diner, where Kris suggests it is her birthday party but, when Scott pokes in turns out Kris is having a dinner party at her house where Scott isn’t invited. The conversation gets rough face-to-face and, during the individual shoot where Scott feels like an outcast and Kris wants Scott to mature up.

Meanwhile, Kim picks out clothes for Paris Hilton’s wedding as well as one for Phil’s rehearsal that she is scheduled to attend. Kim feels nervous without Kanye in regards to styling herself but, she also takes a leap. She wants to find herself and her fashion vision and make it without Kanye’s presence. Scott comes to Kim’s house to cheer her up and we see her having a good time and finally deciding on her OOTD.

Next up is Kris Jenner’s birthday in the episode and, before her party, she confirms with Kourtney about inviting Scott. Kourtney is cool with it and wants her mother to have a party she wants for herself. At the dinner party, the audiences get a tour of Kris Jenner’s breathtaking house and as Khloe put it, it is indeed a sensory overload. It is gorgeous and brilliant!

Scott arrives at the party soon and, it is awkward having Travis-Kourtney-Scott under the same roof. Especially because Travis and Kourtney are unable to keep their hands off each other. Meanwhile, we get a little hint into Pete Davidson’s rendezvous with Kim and she is even seen texting him during the shoot. Kendall, who misses Kris’ birthday, calls her mother the next day and gets all the deets about the party.

The next day we see Khloe meeting Malika and having a fun time while Kendall visits Kris and is joined by Scott. The three talk about Thanksgiving plans and, Scott calls out on being uninvited again which makes Kris suggest that Scott likes to play the victim card. The Kardashians Episode 5 ends with a big fight between Scott and Kendall about Kendall’s birthday party/dinner with Kendall ultimately walking out on Scott.

The Kardashians Episode 5: Final Thoughts

The Kardashians Episode 5 was so much drama and awkward moments. It feels like more the Kardashians themselves, it is their respective partners that spill the drama. For instance, Kanye West absolutely disrespectful about Kim wanting a divorce and, Scott Disick trying to climb on top of every family member by playing the victim card. The last few moments of the fifth episode saw Kendall really losing it which is the most appropriate response Scott deserves for cribbing and crying about not being invited to the parties the family is throwing.
