Is BLACKPINK Jennie Kim the Villain in HBO’s The Idol?

At this point, we would say, a loud yes! When Joss shoots the music video for I’m a Freak, we see how she is pushing all her buttons while she is clearly not doing well. But, there is something more. Dyanne continues to shine as a brilliant dancer in the video and it is not miss Nikki’s eye who is already fed-up with Joss’ mood swings targeted towards her career.

Nikki asks Dyanne to sing, which Dyanne does beautifully and, in a blink of an eye she is picked to be the next popstar almost. In fact, after the shoot is over, Dyanne is called by Nikki to discuss something in the presence of Talia, letting the journalist know that she will find a bigger story here.

The story gets all the more twisted when later in the episode we see Dyanne meet with Tedros! Turns out it is Tedros who planted Dyanne in Jocelyn’s life. We are not sure what is the motive yet but, looks like a power move to get things in Tedros’ quote. This particular scene also comes with some amazing line delivery from our very own Shy Pink that would leave you stunned.

The theories circulating on the internet right now point that two things. One of them is if Jennie’s Dyanne is Tedros’ girlfriend or not. The second one is rather interesting where fans think that the leaked photo of Joss in the first episode comes from Dyanne being a snitch and going behind everyone’s back to bring them trouble.

As of now, these are only theories and the only confirmation will come in the future episodes. Meanwhile, you can watch The Idol now streaming on Max.
