The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6: Brothers & Sisters

Annie finds Cassie hungover on the floor of the apartment at the start of The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6. Cassie confesses about lying regarding her sobriety as well as how she has slipped back, making her a terrible person. Annie handles her best friend with logic and love and, asks her to go with Davey to New York for the forgiveness letter reading thing for her father. However, Benjamin knocks at Cassie’s door as she and Annie are discussing their life problems and, Cassie sneaks out from the back door to avoid Benjamin as Annie opens the door and questions him.

Cassie and David board the plane on their trip to read the forgiveness letter at their father’s grave and help out their mother with clearing out things (as long as she isn’t there in the house). During the flight, Cassie lets Davey know about the slip. Meanwhile, Megan sneaks out to meet her son and gets to know how things have changed since she left.

At her father’s grave, Cassie gives an emotional speech and heads for her mother, Lisa Bowden’s house. But, Davey has cooked up a plan to make Cassie and their mom meet so, Lisa is at the house when the two arrive. Things don’t go exactly well with Lisa taunting Cassie at her visit. As for Annie and Max, they try to figure out their relationship issues, when Cassie’s doppelganger sneaks into the house.

There is no confrontation but, we don’t get to see either if the doppelganger has taken something or not. But Max finds the Diazes feeding Cassie’s all-time information, including being at her mother’s house to a bunch of Korean people and Annie warns her about it in a voice mail.

At the CIA office, Dot isn’t happy with Benjamin’s investigation of the Echo Lake killing. She asks Benjamin to get on his feet and get some work done. A frustrated Benjamin calls Shane to get some update on Cassie but, it isn’t substantial. At Lisa’s house, there is a huge confrontation between the mother and the daughter that leaves Cassie rather shattered and heartbroken. We also get to see Cassie’s mother crying after the confrontation proving how she is broken about it too.

After a moment, we see Davey and Cassie get on to cleaning their stuff in the house when Cassie receives a call from Dot. Dot puts her suspicion on Benjamin about the attack in Berlin as well as in Echo Park, she advises Cassie to be safe and meet her as soon as possible. Benjamin is seen lurking from a distance, looking at Dot. Cassie and Davey are chased by a couple of savey goons from North Korea and they somehow manage to reach their flight, safely.

In the flight, Davey gives Cassie a lead on one of the view master slides stating it is a boat registration number. Shane calls Cassie before take-off telling her about Benjamin’s call and asking her to keep away from the CIA. Soon enough the camera takes us to the boat whose number has been on the view master and we see the cloudy eyed Officer Jones standing in front of it. The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6’s last moment is Jones getting shot by Cassie’s doppelganger.

The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6: Final Thoughts

The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6 isn’t special, apart from the audiences getting to meet Cassie’s mother and figure out the differences between them and the family. But, it does not help Cassie become a better person or improve in any way. It isn’t cathartic to let out all those heavy feelings. The doppelganger mystery is being stretched for far too long and, the only interesting angle in the story now is maybe Benjamin is a suspect. But, my vote is on Dot, not only because she is blonde but also because she just might be applying the ‘keep your friends close, enemies closer’ tactic on Cassie real hard.

You can watch The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6 now on HBO Max.
