The episode starts with the team of firefighters arriving at the scene of the blast. A body was found, but they could not identify it right away. However, the DNA did not match with Ho-gae, and the authorities concluded that he was still alive. But no one knows where he is. Moreover, during the autopsy, the police found out that the victim had multiple stab wounds and that he was murdered before the explosion. They also find Ma Tae-hwa’s remains, and is confirmed dead.

Meanwhile, Jin Hogae wakes up in a bathroom stall, and he is bleeding from behind his ear. A voice comes, and it is none other than Dex. He implanted a hearing piece inside Ho-gae’s head and also added an electrocuting device. Dex orders him to do things according to his wishes, or he will hurt the close ones around him. Ho-gae follows his orders since he is left with no other option.

The police constantly try to find out where Ho-gae is, and the firefighters try to locate the culprit of the shantytown incident. Finally, the cops get a clue about where Ho-gae could be, and they follow him there. They find out that he hit a prosecutor and stole his ID card. Dex orders Ho-gae to go to the administrative building and wipe the DNA records of 300,000 criminals. Ho-gae hesitates, but he does it anyway.

When he is about to leave, he is surrounded by the police. However, he escapes them on time. The prosecutor puts Ho-gae on the most wanted list. Later he calls Doha and Song Seul to help him bring out the electrocuting implant from his body. After the procedure, he leaves to meet Dex. When he reaches the station, he finds his father standing on the platform with an explosive device around his head. His father asks him for the microchip, but Ho-gae declines. After quarrelling, Ho-gae’s father takes the chip and takes it to Dex.

Doha sees the explosive device and tells Ho-gae that it will explode at a high altitude. Ho-gae chases his father, who is running up a building. However, when they reach the top floor, it is too late, and the bomb explodes. Ho-gaes’s body is taken from a scene, and an autopsy is being conducted. Dex also appears with the NFS team and watches the procedure. Ho-gae’s body is then taken out for cremation.

The First Responders Season 2 Episode 11 Review: Final Thoughts

The latest episode is undoubtedly one of the best ones so far. The plot consists of a lot of intricate twists and turns, which are executed to perfection. Each scene is well thought out and shown with the utmost sophistication. Words fail to describe Kim Rae-won’s performance in this episode. He displays each emotion with so much realism that it will often confuse reality with fiction. Overall, the episode gave us everything that the audience expected and more.
