The Fabulous: New Release Date Announced for Choi Min-ho and Chae Soo-bin’s Netflix Romance Drama

Netflix’s The Fabulous starring Choi Min-ho and Chae Soo-bin in titular roles has its eyes set on portraying “the hot and fierce millennial life”. Initially slated for its release on the platform on November 4, 2022, the date was eventually pushed back to the heartbreaking tragedy that struck Itaewon on Halloween.

With Christmas bells soon to the deck the halls, the upcoming romantic comedy kdrama is bound to be an early holiday present from Netflix, with Kim Jung-hyun helming the direction, and Kim Ji-hee and Im Jin-seon writing for the show.

The leading cast quartet features Soo-bin as Pyo Ji-eun (Marketer), Min-ho as Ji Woo-min (Photographer), Lee Sang-woon as Joseph (Designer) and Park Hee-jung as Ye Seon-ho (Model). The dazzling trailer for the show was already released earlier and created resounding buzz on the internet with fans barely being able to hold themselves back while awaiting the premiere.

Choi Min-ho is the all-rounder heartthrob who’s otherwise famous for his contribution to the SM Entertainment k-pop group SHINee. He was last seen in the kdrama Lovestruck in the City (2020) and The Most Beautiful Goodbye (2017). Soo-bin on the other hand, was seen as Go Eun-gang in Rookie Cops (2022) and as Han Seo-woo in A Piece Of Your Mind (2020). Whereas, this Korean series marks the acting debut of Park Hee-jung and Lee Sang-woon was Seo Ki-jung on Lovers of the Red Sky.

Netflix has shared the official log-line of the series as follows:

Four best friends chase their dreams in the competitive world of fashion while juggling demanding jobs, romantic dilemmas and wild nights on the town.

The description as mentioned above makes it seem as if the series will hit closer to home for many viewers, leading with a relatable theme of dysfunctional conflict in the lives of those striving to make it big in the industry. If not, we can always exact vicarious pleasure from such shows, especially with a stunning cast like so rushing straight into our hearts. Gear up for the kdrama of the year, you don’t want to sit this one out!
