The show’s synopsis reads, “Set in Victorian England, the series follows London widow Cora Seaborne (Danes) who moves to Essex to investigate reports of a mythical serpent. The Essex Serpent Episode 3 Review Contains Few Spoilers
After Cora discusses the flying serpent in front of the students, it creates panic. Jo goes running home to her parents, Will and Stella. She is unable to talk, which leaves them worried. Cora is at home and tells Martha that she feels guilty. Cora had no intention of scaring the kids in the school.
Luke visits Aldwinter to meet Cora, and they spend some time together. He encourages Cora to believe in herself. Will requests Cora to help his daughter Jo speak again. Something happens at the beginning of the episode, which leaves the people of the village worried again. They all start suspecting Cora. Will also has to face the rage of his people as he still believes that the serpent is just a rumour.

Apple TV+’s The Essex Serpent Episode 3 took the plot ahead as expected. The serpent’s fear grows, but no one has really seen it yet. Dr Luke Garrett helps Will Ransome’s daughter Jo to speak again. Jo says something very shocking that we might see getting explored in the upcoming episodes.

So far, Luke has been of great help to Cora. In the end, we got a little tease of how Will and Cora’s equation might change. Probably, that’s why the episode is titled ‘Falling’. We wonder what twists we will see further in the Apple TV+ show. How will Luke and Stella react? Will the villagers be furious to see what their vicar is up to while they live in fear?
The Essex Serpent Episode 3 Review: Final Thoughts
Overall, the third episode was decent. It was predictable that Cora would be suspected, and the villagers might not be okay with Will’s disbelief of the serpent’s existence. What remains to see is how their growing closeness will affect everything that’s happening. It just gave a small nudge to hopefully something big in the next episode.
The new episode is now streaming on Apple TV+.
