That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 8 Review Things Finally Clear Out

In this episode, the plot advances significantly as Hinata travels to the Jura Tempest Federation. Despite forbidding her subordinates from joining her, they accompany her to ensure her safety in case Rimuru seeks conflict. Their journey takes them through the Blumund Kingdom, where they are amazed by the advanced infrastructure and happy citizens, a result of trade with Jura Tempest.

In Blumund, Hinata is delighted to find an authentic Tonkatsu ramen shop, which she missed vehemently since coming to this world. As they continue to Jura Tempest, they are impressed by the well-maintained roads and security arrangements under Rimuru’s administration. Hinata starts to acknowledge Rimuru’s exceptional leadership and genuine desire for harmony between monsters and humans, though she feels envious of his country’s progress. She wishes to apologize for her past actions and resolve matters peacefully.

However, the Seven Days Clergy’s sinister plans thwart her intentions. They aim to eliminate both Rimuru and Hinata, leading to a perfectly executed scheme that causes a serious misunderstanding between Hinata and Rimuru.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 8 Review and Recap

Today’s episode starts with the part where there is a full-blown attack going on between the holy knights and the army of Rimuru. Rimuru, however, is not active on the battlefield and just watches over what is going on along with Benimaru and others. It is Shion and her faction that fight with the knights and win by a massive range. But Rimuru could not wait on the sidelines for long when he met Hinata.

This episode established some important things. Firstly, we see Luminous guarding the body of someone who suspiciously looks like someone whom we know from the previous seasons. I’m not sure about who it was as I am not accustomed to the light novel. But many might be able to have the same guess as me when they watch this episode.

Another thing that came to light is just how much more powerful the Jura Tempest Federation has become. Rimuru’s forces are pretty much unbeatable with all the hacks.

But even when you know what the outcome of the battle is, this anime never fails to entertain you. The way you are introduced to new cool moves and sudden plot twists always makes you not care about that plot armour that Rimuru carries.

Thus, when you see the clash between Rimuru and Hinata, you are as much excited about it as ever. With the help of this episode, we also get a grasp of how strong Rimuru has become after becoming the demon lord. There is a brand new skill that he uses here which he can use in all battles against every opponent. But the highlight here is definitely the conclusion which really surprised me. You would not see the sudden shift coming and the episode ends right before explaining anything else.

Verdict

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode with all the power-ups and fighting. Loved how confident and bold Shion appeared in from of the knights and shattered their egos within minutes. The conclusion definitely leaves you craving for more and that makes this episode worthy of your watch.
