That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 15 Recap

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 16 Review Love Problems

This episode is one of my favourites this season, featuring a lot of intriguing events. It begins with Milim visiting Rimuru during his important discussions about the dungeon. Milim quickly starts a fight with Ramiris upon learning that she will be living with Rimuru, driven by jealousy. Milim demands to live in Jura Tempest as well, but this is impossible due to her own jurisdictional duties.

Eager to assist Rimuru, Milim is tasked with capturing dragons for the dungeon. She successfully captures four elemental dragons: earth, wind, ice, and fire. Meanwhile, monsters start spawning in the dungeon due to Veldora’s magicule. The dungeon becomes a perilous place with intricate traps and poison chambers.

However, Rimuru’s main task remains unfinished. As a new Demon Lord, he needs to officially address the Jura Tempest forest population. He plans an audience ceremony to meet monster representatives and see who seeks his protection. Many monsters readily accept Rimuru as their Lord, but the two groups are too busy fighting and see Rimuru as a means of leverage.

Today’s episode was much more romance-oriented than we have seen in this series. At first, we are introduced to Momoji, the only daughter of the Tengu elder, who has come to settle things with Rimuru. Before we understand what she wants to talk about, we are given a glimpse of the past. This is when Benimaru and Albis, went to the Tengu village to have a chat with them about making the highway.

After Benimaru and Albis meet Momoji, they clarify that they do not have any intention to claim or possess their land. They just want permission to pass the Kush mountains, the home of Tengus. And if possible, they would also like to dig a tunnel through the mountains, so that they can make the passage for their highway. But these talks do not go as smoothly as Benimaru had planned cause Momiji picks a fight with Albis, with whom she develops a competition right off the bat.

Things finally settle down when Momiji’s mother lady Kaede, enters the scene and reveals how she shares a connection with the Oni. She used to train under Master Byakuya, the grandfather of Hakurou. We also got a massive shock when we discovered her connection with Hakurou. Disclaimer: it was quite an intimate connection. But the major shock was when she declared how she expects Benimaru to marry her daughter.

Things only escalate from there as it is clear that Albis also has feelings for Benimaru. But the whole thing becomes a full-blown fight for Benimaru’s hand in marriage when things come to Rimuru’s attention. Not only that, but the subordinates of Rimuru and Rimuru himself, quite vividly discuss their troubles and expectations from love. Lastly, we see 3 contenders for Rimuru’s affection as well. Even though it includes Shuna, Shion, and Diablo, we all know how aggressive their fight will be if it becomes physical.

Verdict

Today’s episode was pretty entertaining as it went in a different direction and we witnessed the personal lives of the characters of this world. We finally know that these characters have a heart and they do not think of economic and political situations all the time. Hopefully, we will see who is going to win the hearts of Benimaru and Rimuru, soon.
