Who would’ve thought we would get a movie called Tall Girl 2 just like we got sequels for The Kissing Booth and To All the Boys? A few hours ago, Netflix shared the trailer for the second movie of the 2019 film. It stars Ava Michelle (Jodi), Griffin Gluck (Jack), Sabrina Carpenter (Harper), Steve Zahn (Richie), Angela Kinsey (Helaine), Anjelika (Fareeda). A new actor Janluis Castellanos joined the cast as Tommy.
After everything that happened at Homecoming night, Jodi is now a popular girl in the college. Her boyfriend Jack and friend Fareeda are extremely happy for her. Good things keep happening to Jodi as she now gets the lead in the Spring Musical. However, when Kimmy bullies Jodi that she’s going to choke on the stage, our Tall Girl loses her confidence.
In one scene, Jodi tells her sister Harper how a voice in her head makes her believe all her fears and insecurities are true. Harper responds, “Because now you’re out there. The more out there you are, the louder that voice gets.” In the next scene, Jodi meets her co-star Tommy who makes her feel comfortable and easy to rehearse. Some fun moments with Jodi’s family and a heartbroken Jack follow. Jack says how he’s spent a lot of time waiting for Jodi to fall in love with him.

Will the new love interest Tommy cause Jodi and Jack to break up? We will have to wait for the film to release. The Tall Girl 2 trailer description reads, “Landing the lead in the school musical is a dream come true for Jodi, until the pressure sends her confidence — and her relationship — into a tailspin.”
