Strong Girl Nam-soon Season 2 Updates: The famous hit South Korean drama Strong Woman Do Bong-soon (힘쎈여자 도봉순) spin-off series Strong Girl Nam-soon (힘쎈여자 강남순) of the is directed by Kim Jung-Sik and written by Baek Mi-Kyeong. Starring Lee Yoo-mi, Kim Jung-eun, Kim Hae-sook, Ong Seong-wu and Byeon Woo-seok in the lead roles, the series will follow a young girl named Nam-soon and her immense strength being used for the good. The series is produced by JTBC and is distributed by Netflix.
The series takes up the story of Bong-soon’s sixth cousin, Kang Nam-soon (Lee Yoo-mi) who has similar strength to her cousin. After getting lost in Magnolia, Nam-soon returns to South Korea to find her family. She successfully finds her mother (Kim Jung-eun) and grandmother (Kim Hae-sook) but little does she know, the trio are in for a big treat.
Lee Yoo-mi made it big after her pivotal role in Squid Game (2021). She was last seen in All of Us Are Dead (2022). Kim Jung-eun’s last ventures are Missing: The Other Side (2020-2023) and DNA Mate (since 2022). Kim Hae-sook’s latest work was Revenant (2023). Speaking of Ong Seong-wu, he was last seen in the movie Starlight Falls (2023) while Byeon Woo-seok’s latest project was Soulmate (2023).
Strong Girl Nam-soon Season 2 Updates
There is definitely another season coming its way because the writers of the show officially have confirmed that they’re in talks of the new leads for season 2. This time it won’t follow the traditional pattern of a strong female lead but a male lead. The new character’s name is revealed as Jang Chung-dong, a family member of Geum-ju. Apparently, something miraculous happens to this man’s chromosomes during his birth leading him to possess the strength like the women in their family.

What Happens in the Strong Girl Nam-soon Post Credits Scene?
We see Geum-ju’s father serving pork to his son, son-in-law, and grandson while asking about Geum-ju. They let the old man know that Geum-ju has gone to visit Yu-hui, her cousin. When the old man wonders why, his son mentions the name of Chung-dong. The scene cuts to Geum-ju walking into a restaurant run by Yu-hui. She asks her why she hasn’t expanded and decorated the restaurant with the money she sent her.
Yu-hui tells Geum-ju that all the money that she gave was used to settle the mess created by Chung-dong. Geum-ju asks for Chung-dong and Yu-hui says that he isn’t at home. Geum-ju asks Yu-hui to send Chung-dong along with her on a mission. Yu-hui feels happy as she believes her son will finally become responsible and change. She screams his name and her voice travels throughout the entire neighbourhood and reaches Chung-dong’s ear.
The young man is seen at the Internet cafe playing a game. When he hears his mother’s voice he fails in the game. Annoyed at losing, he punches the computer, making the entire cafe’s electricity go out. It’s understood that this young man with a superpower is going to be the guy who will end Nozh aka Song Bread and Pavel.
When will Strong Girl Nam-soon Season 2 Come Out?
The date hasn’t been fixed yet however, it is approximately said that in 2025 it will be released. The story will continue from Strong Girl Nam-soon where Geum-ju figures out that Song Bread is the mastermind. Chung-dong will make use of Geum-ju’s help and seek Song Bread to stop him from creating chaos and danger. It’s less likely to expect the previous cast that is Lee Yoo-mi, Ong Seong-wu, and such season 1 cast to be a part of season 2. However, they might make cameos and leave the screen focused on the new male lead.
