Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures Review Contains No Spoilers
It’s May the 4th, and Disney+ and Star Wars have ensured the force will be with us. Two exciting titles are releasing today: Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 and Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures. While most of their shows appeal to teenagers and adults, the latter is a treat for the kids. After all, they should also be acquainted with everything happening in a galaxy far, far away.
Disney+’s Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures is set centuries before everything went dark and depressing. Master Yoda is training some bright and curious younglings like Kai Brightstar, Nash Durango, Lys Solay, and others about the Jedi life. The training takes place at a Jedi temple on Tenoo. In the seven episodes, we see skills in the younglings while they learn some life lessons.
If you are a Star Wars franchise fan, you know that the movies and shows have often been dark and heartbreaking while also giving us hope. But imagine a world where darkness has no place! In Young Jedi Adventures, there is no High Republic or the Sith to cause destruction. It’s a peaceful and joyful world where Master Yoda speaks a lot, and the younglings are cheerful and eager to learn.

It’s a show purely made for kids, but adults will also enjoy it. Every chapter teaches us something. These younglings have more understanding and kindness than the adults who went rogue centuries later. The budding Jedi knights teach us compassion; they show us how any problem can be solved together, encourage those who have lost hope and faith in themselves, and teach us the lessons of sharing and caring.
In the last episode, Kai Brightstar and others also showed us that having the Force power as a Jedi doesn’t always mean they have to fight. If there’s a peaceful way, a Jedi can always forgive.

Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, Nubs, Nash Durango, and the droid RJ-83 instantly win your hearts. The googly eyes on these animated younglings will often make you say aww. It is good to see a happy Master Yoda having such an amazing time teaching these kids the Jedi ways, discipline, and wisdom. Star Wars fans deserve to see the merry and flourishing younglings after witnessing a distressing sequence in Revenge of the Sith (2005).
Star Wars has a massive fan following, and such a franchise has the power to influence minds. It was fantastic to see that the main hero of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures is a person of colour. Jamaal Avery Jr., as Kai Brightstar, has done a brilliant job. He is wise for his age, makes mistakes, and is curious. Other voice actors like Juliet Donenfeld, Dee Bradley Baker, Emma Bernam, Piotr Michael, and Jonathan Lipow have also done a good job.

Star Wars Young Jedi Adventures Review: Final Thoughts
Overall, in a galaxy far, far away, (and centuries ago) the younglings were happy, and that is such a relief to watch. It’s refreshing, adorable, and cute. These future Jedi knights do face challenges but always find a way out. They help each other in need and accept when they are wrong. But considering it mainly targets kids as their audience, the episodes could’ve been a little shorter.
May the force always be with the younglings and all of us!
The series is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
