Single’s Inferno Season 4 Episode 5 Recap

The episode starts with the women having to choose one victor out of Hong Seong-bo, An Jong-hoon and Kwon Ki-na to join Inferno. It’s a difficult choice and the hosts render their opinion on whom they think will be able to surpass the others and enter the game. The women have solo dates with all three men to gauge their compatibilities with each other. After a long session of mixing and mingling, we go back to Inferno where we meet Park Hae-lin, who spends the rest of her time mingling with the men and getting to know them further.

In the end, the women choose An Jong-hoon to bring to Paradise and the men in Inferno are left shocked when they realise that Jong-hoon has gone on a date with Si-an and Hye-jin. Meanwhile, Hae-lin goes to Paradise with Dong-ho and Jeong-su, leaving the women shocked as well. Thankfully, the ladies return soon enough and everyone meets Jong-hoon for the first time.

Later on, everyone at Inferno enjoys the pool where jealousies and romantic feelings soar from all sides. While Min-seol is left annoyed at Jun-seo’s closeness with Si-an, Jong-hoon’s “boyfriend behaviour” with Hye-jin leaves the hosts swooning. When they start to eat eventually, Theo tries to flirt with Si-an by getting her a bowl of ham but she seems to be more interested in Jun-seo, annoying Min-seol further.

Theo later takes Si-an off to talk privately and after some chitchat, he tries to flirt with her incessantly, but in the end, his efforts smile through, making Si-an smile. Meanwhile, Ji-yeon also gets to know Ta-hwan. Unfortunately, he speaks out of turn and confuses her with someone else, which gives birth to an awkward moment but Ji-yeong takes it in her stride. On the other hand, Min-seol and Jun-seo have a chat as well and seem to be having a good time as well. Unfortunately as well, when he gets a bit too excited to hang out with Si-an and Theo, Min-seol realises that Jun-seo’s heart might be elsewhere.

Si-an, on the other hand, discusses her feelings for Jeong-su with A-rin and mentions that although Theo has been open with her and is on her radar, Jeong-su is someone she is unable to forget either. Either way, Jun-seo takes Si-an off to talk and she asks him whether he has found someone he is interested in where the episode ends.

Single’s Inferno Season 4 Episode 5 Review: Lee Si-an, Yuk Jun-seo

This episode has been surprisingly drama-free, with nothing of note happening for now. I am entertained quite a bit with the complicated relationships and the awkward flirting this season. Although a lot of men are interested in Si-an for now, I am thankful that it’s not a repetition of season 3 (iykyk). That being said, the episode lacked the spark and made it seem like it’s just there to take us to greener pastures instead of leaving us on the edge of our seat to figure out what happens next. The lack of a task also makes it a bit dull and I must say that I am not quite taken by either of the two new members of Inferno. Maybe things will change in the future.
