Shark Tank India Season 2 episode 13 premiered on Sony LIV and Sony Entertainment Television on January 18, 2023, at 10PM IST. Payel Seth is the show’s creative director, while it’s been produced by Studio NEXT, with Ravikesh Vatsa as its writer. The show is now hosted by renowned comedian Rahul Dua, and is joined by six sharks, namely, Anupam Mittal Founder-CEO of Shaadi.com – People Group; Aman Gupta, Co-Founder-CMO of boAt; Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals; Vineeta Singh, Co-Founder-CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics; Peyush Bansal, Founder-CEO of Lenskart.com and Amit Jain, Co-Founder-CEO of CarDekho Group and InsuranceDekho.com.
‘Inside FPV’, and affordable and India’s first consumer-based drones brand, ‘Angrakhaa’, a size inclusive fashion line and ‘Diabexy’, a brand countering diabetes with its low glycemic food items joined the thirteenth edition of Shark Tank India Season 2. The first team was led by young pioneers, who were also graduating students at the time of the shoot. Their pitch blew the sharks away, and led four of them (except Anupam Mittal) to join hands with the trio of founders.
Amit Jain made an investment in ‘Angrakhaa’ while other stayed out due to their own reasons. ‘Diabexy’, on the hand, returned home after having promoted the brand on national television, but without a deal because the founders didn’t want to give away a larger stake of the company.
Some reactions are already in after the episode and have the fans repeating the same claims as everyday. Ashneer Grover’s names just can’t seem to leave the audience’s mind, and his stature is often compared with the other sharks present in the second season. While viewers also noticed a common rising trend of startups simply going to represent themselves on the show “for marketing rather than funding”. Comparisons between various shark combinations has become a common sight, while a mutual hatred is also shared for the distasteful long-running advertisement breaks.
