Shah Rukh Khan In Quarantine After Pathan Crew Members Test COVID-19 Positive?

India is witnessing the second wave of COVID-19, and the state of Maharashtra is the worst hit. The number of cases in Mumbai has been going up and up and surpassed last year’s numbers. The latest news is from Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan movie set, where crew members have reportedly tested positive.

A few days ago, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray told people that Mumbai city is under curfew from 8 pm to 7 am till April 30. There is also a weekend lockdown going on from Friday 8 pm to Monday 7 am. The Maha govt requested the production houses to carry on film shoots with all the safety and precautions. But it looks like someone still managed to get the virus on Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan sets.

The shooting of the film was happening at the YRF studio in Mumbai. As reported by Pinkvilla, several crew members tested positive and are currently quarantining at Courtyard, Andheri East. The report also mentions that Shah Rukh Khan himself is under self-quarantine. Pathan’s shoot has now come to a halt. So far, there are no updates if SRK has tested positive or negative for COVID-19. No one from the production house has confirmed the news yet. In fact, ABP News has denied the Pinkvilla reports.

Meanwhile, the second wave of COVID-19 has hit affected a lot of Bollywood celebrities recently. Recently, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Satish Kaushik, Paresh Rawal, Bhumi Pednekar, Govinda and R Madhavan had also tested positive. The celebs have appealed to all the fans to stay inside and follow precautionary measures if they step out.

The pandemic has yet again affected the release dates of several films. Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi won’t release on April 30 anymore. Director Rohit Shetty had confirmed the news last week. Another update is about Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The superstar said in a recent interview that if the number of cases doesn’t go down, Radhe won’t release on Eid this year.

However, yesterday several news reports stated that Salman’s Radhe might not release on Eid in May but will still have an Eid release.. The film will hit the theatre screens on Bakri Eid weekend in July 2021. Khan is yet to confirm the same news. Directed by PrabhuDheva, the film also stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff.

Talking about Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan, the film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Salman Khan has a special appearance in the film as his Ek Tha Tiger character Avinash Rathore. Pathan is SRK’s much-awaited release after his 3 years sabbatical since Zero’s release in 2018.

Shah Rukh Khan recently shot a major portion of the film in Dubai. Siddharth Anand is helming it. There were speculations about Hrithik Roshan also making a cameo in the film as his War character Kabir. However, there is no confirmation about his appearance in the film yet.

We hope Shah Rukh Khan is well and his crew members recover soon. As soon as there’s any update/confirmation on the matter, we will share it with you all.
