Selling Sunset Season 7 Review Contains No Spoilers
Every new season of Selling Sunset only brings more drama and fights. So that’s exactly what’s offered in the new season. Work politics are soaring; fights keep happening; some houses are being sold; and there is too much back-biting. The first season is being rehashed every year for the audience, who are completely aware of the shallowness of the series. After watching the first 5 episodes, I have realised there is nothing new this time either.
In the new season, Chrishell and Jason’s new girlfriend, Marie-Lou, go from awkwardness to arguments. When Chrishell was with her partner G Flip in Australia, Jason and Marie went there for a holiday. What’s weird is that they all spent time together. No one is allowed to question the logic of these decisions because that keeps stirring up all the drama. During their stay in Australia, Marie feels Chrishell didn’t show “interest” in her. She feels there are some leftover feelings.

While Chrishell has her own dramatic premise going on with her ex’s new girlfriend, the other ladies in the office are consistent with their fights and betrayals. No one is a saint in Selling Sunset Season 7. The entire “she said, she said” situation goes out of control at a lavish dinner party Jason hosts for his LA and Orange County real estate agents.
Regarding controversial content, the new season serves stale food on a new platter. At least at one point, one would feel the heat and anger in these fights. Now, they all look tired of pretending to be under contract to spice up the situation. After all, how often and for how many seasons will they fight like kids over trivial matters that no one cares about? The repetitiveness is annoying. The boredom is visible through the silly work politics, bland side eyes and digs, and bizarre reasons that cause fights. I think, at this point, everyone wants to work and earn more money.

Speaking of work, Jason Oppenheim announced that he will start a new office in Los Angeles. So the pressure is on all his employees to keep making big sales. He is quite serious about the new office space, and we even see him arguing with Brett about the budget. A few agents are concerned about his decisions during times of inflation. But he calls himself a risk-taker. Well, we will see how it goes for everyone.
Selling Sunset Season 7 Review: Final Thoughts
Overall, Selling Sunset Season 7 is the same old drama served in a new package that’s colourless and vanilla. The agents seem tired of their own absurdity and drama, especially after being given the responsibility of selling more for more money. If you are a fan of such shows and want to binge on something without using your brains, you should binge on it. If you enjoy knowing about the business of other people’s lives and seeing them fight like cats and dogs, you will enjoy the show.

If watching luxurious houses and crying yourself to sleep in your tiny little bed while munching on a pack of chips is what you want to do this weekend, watch the show. However, it would be wise to skip it, get good sleep, and save your brain cells.
Selling Sunset Season 7 is now streaming on Netflix.
