SBS Universe Ticket Episode 8 preview was revealed at the end of the last episode aired on December 27, and it has introduced some merciless twists coming ahead. The upcoming episode will invite more tensions and heartbreaks for the contestants of the competition that will ultimately announce rookie newcomers to the soundscape of K-pop at the end of its road. With eliminations happening every week, the next stage will unveil the Unit Station level. Since only 8 Prism tickets are available for the contestants to debut as K-pop stars, a long arduous journey awaits in the weeks yet to come.
The Korean reality survival race commenced on November 18, and has been bringing emotional dramas of varying degrees every week, testing the contestants and audiences’ patience. SBS’ debut competition series (유니버스 티켓), originally holding the title, Universe Ticket: The Miracle of 82, has been produced by Lee Hwan-jin, known for yet another survival audition program, Loud (2021), featuring PSY and Park Jin-young (JYP Entertainment), and the variety game show Running Man.

On their road to PRISM, the next step will lead the girls to contest against each other as part of the Unit Station level, which will determine who takes on the performative positions – vocal, performance and visual – to the best of their abilities. As revealed by the Episode 8 preview shown at the end of Episode 7, Lim Seowon is yet again confident about bagging one of these lead positions. All the remaining contestants race forward to do their best in terms of fighting for their survival in this fierce competition as they engage in a tug of war for a position of their choice.
They all go harder to impress the evaluators. While it appears to be the case that Nana may have secured a safe spot in the race, or so it seems at least, this cutthroat contest isn’t going to offer anyone the chance to take a peaceful walk through the park. On top of that, a bitter twist will also witness the girls picking their choice of contestants whom they wish for to be eliminated next. How will this ruthless war be resolved? Who will stand the test of time, and whose journey will be brought to an abrupt end? Find out next week!
The series originally brought in 82 contestants hailing from global countries like Canada, Australia, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Philippines, Myanmar, France, Vietnam, China, Mongolia, and Italy, all born before the year 2011. The show’s finale will result in the declaration of 8 last-standing contestants as debuting members of a girl group that will be signed under the entertainment label, F&F Entertainment, for 2.5 years. The Universe Ticket audition series has welcomed a star-studded lineup of mentors for the girls. This stellar list of regular judges includes 7 South Korean celebs – Actor/singer Kim Sejeong, Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon, Yeji and Chaeryeong of ITZY, K-pop soloist Younha, and choreographer Choi Rian of LACHICA dance crew.
