Saint X Episode 4 Recap
In the most recent episode of Saint X, we see Alison get much closer to Edwin while Tyler remains blissfully ignorant about the relationship the duo shares. Meanwhile, Claire starts hanging out with Alison’s newest friend Olvia and the tensions rise as we get closer to the fateful night that led to Alison’s death. However, we cut to the present, where adult Claire is watching the documentary that details the events of that night with some dramatic reconstruction.
Sunita sees this and reminds Claire that all these documentaries are wildly racist, sexist and downright offensive to every group exploited. However, now that Claire has seen Gogo from the resort living in New York, she cannot help but do some digging into the past. This is just part of her research as a way to get closer to him. Gogo has no idea that the girl who keeps speaking to him is actually Alison’s baby sister. We are once again pulled into the past as Alison walks by the pool.
She has attracted a lot of attention from all of the men at the resort, especially the married dude with a pregnant wife, for whom this might be the last vacation before she gives. He has been creeping around her all the time. Meanwhile, Alison has been getting it on with Edwin, whose reputation in the resort has been that of someone who flirts with everyone. Gogo reassures Alison’s dad that Edwin is just like this and shouldn’t think too much of it.

At the same time, Edwin and Gogo are up to something nefarious as they get cocaine from a local drug dealer. Since Gogo is about to get 10% of the cut, he decides keeping the drugs with him is okay. It is this decision that sends him to jail for years. Convicts that come out of prison don’t find jobs easily, so Gogo comes to America to support his girlfriend and son. After a few years of working and toiling, his girlfriend tells him she has married Edwin, and they’re together now.
The plot has become even more convoluted now that the American storyline is added because why is he still here if he doesn’t have to make money for his family? It is confusing. Either way, this development has been too helpful for Claire, who has been following him around, trying to become friends and establish a relationship of trust. This is beyond dangerous, so Sunita decides to step up and keep tabs on the two of them whenever they hang out.
One day, Clive, aka Gogo, takes her to see the sea and the Statue of Liberty in the distance late in the night, in an abandoned alleyway with no one in sight. Sunita is obviously highly concerned, and when Claire returns home, her boyfriend sees the cab and the two of them speaking. He seems concerned that this is some kind of cheating thing because that would be the only reason she would be lying to him about what is happening.

Back in the past, Alison confronts the creep and speaks to him about the way he has been ruining her vacation. She absolutely destroyed him verbally and gave him no opportunity to retort, and he was extremely turned on by that. Back at his hotel room, we see that he had stolen her Princeton shorts that she had worn to swimming.
Saint X Episode 4 Review
This series has not gotten better since last time. There are incredibly concerning moments of decision-making that don’t make sense at all based on everything we know about the characters. Meanwhile, the backstory has moved in circles since the show started, and it still hasn’t left the orbit. It seems like there will be nothing coming at the end of this saga.
If there is something to be looked forward to, it is the trash 2000s mentality that most of these characters embody. They are bringing the trashiness, and it can be ironically enjoyed. Apart from that, the show manages to contribute little to nothing to the television space. It can be said that the show is a collection of shots that make sense if you don’t think too much about it. There is nothing meaty to grab onto.
Saint X Episode 4 is currently streaming on Hulu.
