Revenant Overview
Revenant (악귀) is a Korean supernatural mystery thriller about a student possessed by a demon, a teacher who can see the devil and an investigator who gets caught in the mess because of the two. Directed by Lee Jung-rim and Kim Jae-hong, the drama stars Kim Tae-ri, Oh Jung-se, Hong Kyung, Yang Hye-ji, Kim Shin-bi, and Jin Seon-kyu, alongside other cast members.
The drama brings the story of the poor student Ku San-young who gets possessed by a demon. She then meets teacher Yeom Hae-sang who possesses the ability to see demons since childhood. He recognises the demon possessing San-young as the one who killed his mother and is now wreaking havoc around her. There is also the investigator Lee Hong-sae who gets caught in the mess by the two.
Kim Tae-ri was last seen in the immensely popular Twenty-Five, Twenty-One in the lead role of Na Hee-do, while Oh Jung-se was last seen in Uncle as Wang Joon-hyuk. Revenant takes over SBS’ Friday-Saturday 22:00 PM KST time slot previously occupied by Dr Romantic season 3.

Revenant Plot
San-young is a normal part-timer who learns about her father’s death, whom she believed has been dead all along. When she meets with her paternal grandmother, she is handed over a cursed object through which an evil spirit latches on to her. To protect her and get hold of the evil spirit, Professor Hae-sang gets hold of San-young. Together, both of them learn about the evil spirit as well as fulfill certain spirits’ wishes.

Revenant Episode 9 India Release Date and Time

Revenant Episode 9 Prediction
The chances of Munchun being saved are very less but if Hae-sang and San-young arrive on time, there might be a way out. Because previously, the money lender was found alive by the detectives though he had a bruise on his wrists. So Munchun might also get a chance to escape but if he dies, Hongsae’s surely going to be disturbed.
Hongsae will hereafter believe in ghosts and understand the stories of Hae-sang and San-young. Since San-young is possessed, he will understand that she isn’t willfully murdering people. However, if he decides to take legal action, she will face charges. Additionally, they will go in search of the remaining two objects, the jade pin and the glass bottle.
Once they find all five objects, the next step will be to end the evil spirit’s growth. But it won’t be easy to get rid of it because it has already killed everyone who wanted to stop it. San-young might get into big trouble and in one of the upcoming episodes, Hae-sang might sacrifice himself to save her.
Revenant Episode 8 Recap
Munchun and Hongsae analyse suicide cases from 1958 to 2023 and realise their connection. They split objectives and focus on finding more details. San-young discovers she has the same rare eye disease as her father, Gang-mu, which is not curable and she will likely lose her vision in a year. She learns that her father who was possessed by the evil spirit, continued to keep the spirit so he could have eyesight.
One day, she discovers Woojin’s picture on the table and wonders where the evil spirit is guiding her. Just then, San-young gets a call from Baekchagol village head regarding Hae-sang. On visiting, she learns that Hae-sang invited the darkness ghost by smearing his blood on the North Jangseung. She helps Hae-sang, who is in a trance, and they both narrowly escape the dark spirits. Hongsae and Munchun gather vital documents to find a lead in the suicide cases. Munchun finds a crucial data and calls Hae-sang.
Meanwhile, Hae-sang and San-young find the third cursed object and learn that Gang-mu tried to uncover all five objects to end the evil spirit. San-young questions Hae-sang about the reason for his father’s death and the latter remains clueless. Right then, San-young goes into a trance and learns there’s going to be another victim that is Munchan.
Hae-sang calls Munchun and requests him to not open the door when someone knocks. After Hongsae joins him, the knocking starts and Munchun asks him to not open the door. However when Munchun hears Haesang’s voice he asks Hongsae to open the door only to find the possessed San-young smiling at him.
