Amazon Prime’s Reacher series is one captivating ride to be on. The series is based on Lee Child’s first novel in the Jack Reacher book series titled Killing Floor. It was written and developed for television by Emmy-nominated writer for acclaimed pieces like Scorpion and Prison Break, Nick Santora, who also serves as one of the executive producers and showrunner for the series as part of the overall Skydance Television deal. Starring Alan Ritchson in the titular role, the show consists of eight episodes each about 50 minutes long.

Reacher Season 1: Homicides, Scams & One Man To Take Everyone Down
Reacher starts off on a very Memories of Murder note with tall grass and, some killing. We know from the very start that the murder mystery needs to be solved and, the audiences are cued in for an edge-of-the-seat ride. However, what catches us off guard is the arrest of Jack Reacher moments after the murder scene in a countryside bistro in Margrave, Georgia. A veteran military police investigator who has recently shifted to civilian life as a drifter, Reacher is caught in the middle of this murder as a suspect.
With an immediate arrest, it seems all too good to be true as our protagonist is held behind bars. But as the Margrave community grapples with its first homicide in 20 years, secrets darker than the prison walls start to unearth themselves. Determined to prove his innocence and seek justice, our protagonist dives deeper and deeper to find out the truth. But, what comes to the surface are some deep-seated conspiracies that centre the dead town.
Dirty cops, shady businessmen and scheming politicians all are undisguised as Reacher’s keen mind and hard-hitting fists penetrate what looks like one of the biggest US scams ever. With, some helpful detectives and friends by his side, will Jack Reacher reach the bottom of the truth barrel? Or, will he be cut short by army-trained goons and power that money can buy? Reacher Review: Brilliant Actors Nailing Their Characters To Perfection
Jack Reacher is not a character unknown to the fanatics of action thrillers. Lee Child’s iconic character has previously been played by veteran actor Tom Cruise in two films. But, it is Alan Ritchson who actually brings the character to life with his portrayal. Uncannily huge, talentedly intelligent, exceptionally strong and skilled, Ritchson is endearing, likeable and, truly the manifestation of the character we have all loved in the books. He has the right amount of Will Graham from Hannibal and Sherlock when it comes to analyzing things, with a sturdy twist of a James Bond-like demeanour and, Batman physique.
Willa Fitzgerald is headstrong, and brave and, compliments Alan Ritchson’s character well. The chemistry they share is undeniably sweet. So, is the chemistry between Ritchson’s character and, Malcolm Goodwin’s Finlay, making them a memorable crime-fighting duo. Although the other characters don’t get enough screentime in comparison to the three-mentioned ones, it will not be wrong to say that Chris Webster, Hugh Thompson, Maria Sten, Kristin Kreuk, Currie Graham, Marc Bendavid, Willie C. Carpenter and Bruce McGill are all perfect in playing their parts.
Final Verdict
If you are a fan of action, thriller and mystery, this show is just the right pick for you. Bringing home some spooky Ozark vibes, the magic of Blues music mixed with all the detective skills one can acquire, the show stands out as being a very binge-able, captivating and thrilling show to watch.
