With the new episode of the popular Korean Music show out on M-NET and YouTube, the Queendom Puzzle Episode 4 reactions are truly causing a ruckus in the socials. This show is a reality television spin-off of the original Queendom. While the original generally focuses on girl groups and their comeback performances, this show features former and current girl group members to make their collaborative comebacks. It is a performance-based show with eliminations and selections happening every week.
This brand new survival reality series, Queendom Puzzle, is hosted by Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and features members from Lovelyz, AOA, WJSN, Weki Meki, H1-KEY, and others. This time, we see different artists perform solo on various songs. Initially, all of the contestants were pre-assigned a rank based on their previous career performance in the industry. After their first solo performance, every performer assigns an up or down vote on their peers, determining their rank for the upcoming episodes.
They went on to have team battles after that, where the contestants were pitted against each other and were assigned to perform one of two songs. In this episode, we see a Re-mix battle, where the contestants once again perform in groups. They presented songs by popular Korean pop bands. It was essentially a dance and song recreation of a popular Korean band’s song. Like this time, it was (G)I-DLE’s Nxde, SEVENTEEN’s Fighting and BoA’s Only One.
Fans have taken to express their excitement by sharing their biases for specific members in this show. Since this is mostly an individualistic competition, it makes sense for people to rally behind a single member so that they can become the “Queen” of this season. Others have commented that having people judge the artists would not be a good idea because viewers are more prone to vote for the artists they are biased for. Some have also started their own voting campaigns on social media platforms, sharing who people should vote for.
Some have also taken to share who they have voted for, what the next episode could bring and some theories as to what the next elimination could look like. However, most of the comments limit themselves to speaking about the elegance and beauty of the singers who have been performing recently.
