Queen of Divorce Episode 8 Recap and Review: A Sudden Proposal for Sa-ra!

Queen of Divorce Episode 8 Recap and Review: Sa-ra is given a choice to be with the one she loves and the one who holds her weakness, her child. Directed by Park Jin-suk, the drama stars Lee Ji-ah, Kang Ki-young, Kim Sun-young, Oh Min-suk, Lee Tae-goo, and Na Young-hee, alongside other cast members.

The Kdrama (끝내주는 해결사) tells the story of Kim Sa-ra who was once the daughter-in-law of the biggest law firm in South Korea, however, an unfair divorce leads her to become someone who helps others facing a similar situation. Helping her in this is Dong Ki-joon who was an excellent prosecutor but has now become her business partner and advisory lawyer. They now work together to solve unfair divorce cases, but will this partnership evolve into something else?

Ki-joon is rushed to the hospital where he soon wakes up and Sa-ra tells him that his friend has joined Chayul Law Firm, therefore, he has betrayed him. Ki-joon is shocked by this but doesn’t show it, instead, he begins to play around with Sa-ra by making her help him out. He then walks her out and tells her not to stay home as she is easily scared and it is unsafe right now.

After seeing her off, he once again calls his friend but gets no response. The next day, Yul-seong talks to another assemblyman Ha Hyun-ho and tells him he wants to support him in becoming the party representative. Soon, Young-a is shocked when news about her being part of a cult begins to spread around.

Sa-ra meets her and tries to convince her to get a divorce but Young-a is not ready as she cannot let go of her children. Later, Sa-ra gets a call from Seo-yun’s caretaker and it is Cha Hui-won on the other side who calls for Seo-yun and tells him that his mother ran away with another man in front of Sa-ra.

She then warns Sa-ra to not get in her way or else she will keep pestering Seo-yun with such words about his mother. Sa-ra is devastated by this but is helpless at the moment. She then makes her way to Ki-joon with food and he understands that there is something wrong with Sa-ra.

Elsewhere, Young-a gets a call from one of the cult follower’s husbands and tries to help him out of goodwill. However, this exchange is photographed and portrayed as her trying to silence someone with money. Sa-ra soon finds out about this news and they are sure that this mess needs to be controlled soon.

Dae-ki and Kang Bom later follow the cult leader and are led to Yul-seong and the two soon end up fighting. The duo records this and plays it in the office when Hee-jin gets a call from Yul-seong but she doesn’t reveal news of the video to him. The next day, Young-a calls for Sa-ra at the hospital where the former’s son is admitted and the two are shocked when he husband tries to get him out of the hospital.

Additionally, he even tried to get his son off medication as he believed that the energy of the prayers was not reaching his son. Sa-ra observes this and calls Ki-joon to ask him about finding a way to get Young-a the opportunity to adopt the two children. Meanwhile, Young-a’s children are saddened by her situation and try to push her to get a divorce.

The next day, Sa-ra presents another opportunity to Young-a and tells her that she can get a divorce and Sa-ra will make sure that she doesn’t have to leave the children behind. Elsewhere, the cult leader also denies his connection to Young-a and tells the media that this is a strategy Yul-seong has created to get Young-a in trouble.

Meanwhile, Cha Hui-won presents Yul-seong with a picture of his next bride. The next day, Young-a finally makes the statement about her divorce from her husband, following which, Sa-ra gets her son’s number and can make small talk with him. Later, she picks up Ki-joon from the hospital and he offers her to stay at his house. After much thinking, Sa-ra agrees and the two head to her house to pick some clothes.

There, several events make Ki-joon speak his heart out while Sa-ra tries to stray away from such thoughts. However, Ki-joon is no one to give up and tells her that his heart will always be burning for her. The next day, the Solution team comes up with a plan to trap the cult leader while also finding ways to win the custody case for Young-a.

Queen of Divorce Episode 8 Ending

They get hold of the cult leader and make him confess his non-faith in his abilities in front of the major members of the cult. Among them is Young-a’s husband who is shocked but doesn’t make a move to beat up the leader like everyone else is doing. Sa-ra and Ki-joon are on their way back home after which when Sa-ra accidentally drops her drink outside the car which makes Ki-joon think about Na Yu-mi’s case from a different angle.

However, their efforts fail as Yul-seong arrives to discuss the same while showing them the evidence to prove himself innocent. The two are left with no choice but to accept his statement which brings them back to square one. The next day, Sa-ra meets Young-a who is in a much better place now.

She offers Sa-ra to work under her and shows off the power Sa-ra holds when Yul-seong enters her office and gets on his knees. However, this gives birth to a new idea in Yul-seong’s mind and he makes him to Sa-ra to ask her to marry him again.

Queen of Divorce Episode 8 Review

Episode 8 was a bit more exciting than previous episodes which also came with an unexpected turn of events towards the end of the show. Meanwhile, seeing the change in Hee-jin’s character is also a thought-provoking topic for discussion.

On the other hand, the plot is picking up which makes us excited for what is coming next. Hopefully we see more intriguing cases and also the love we desperately want to see in the show already. Altogether, this was yet another interesting episode that keeps us thinking about what is going to happen next.
