This episode begins, and Doo-joon is miffed that Hee-won doesn’t want his help at all. He grumbles about it the entire time and is worried about her. On the other hand, Jeong-eum approaches Hee-won again under the guise of being a well-wisher and lightly manipulating her into having an abortion. When she learns that Hee-won does not want the baby, she is very happy, and it shows in her face. We also see just how toxic Hee-won’s mother is when, in a drunken state, she tells Hee-won many bad things. This interaction obviously makes her cry, and Doo-joon witnesses all of it. This moment deeply affects Doo-joon, making him realize just how isolated and emotionally vulnerable Hee-won truly is.

We also see that Jeong-eum is completely evil, and she wants to take over Doo-joon’s company fully. At work, things are not looking good for Hee-won, as she gets blamed for plagiarizing an idea even though she did not do it. Her team leader completely rips her apart and insults her, saying that she did it because she wanted to go to Germany. This incident further highlights how isolated Hee-won has become, as she continues to shoulder blame and humiliation for things beyond her control.

Doo-joon becomes very sad because he thinks that Hee-won will get punished on his behalf. Hee-won goes to meet Doo-joon and tells him that she did not copy the idea. She also tells him to punish her and not her team if he must punish someone. Doo-joon also tells her to bring the new idea to him directly in person.

Later, Hee-won talks with Min-wook, and this gets witnessed by Doo-joon. He obviously does not like that someone else is talking to her, but refuses to say anything. Funnily enough, whenever Hee-won goes to Doo-joon with a new idea, he rejects it right away. We see Doo-joon doing small gestures like leaving tea for her while she is working because she is pregnant. He also helps her out immensely when she tries to work, and in between, Doo-joon tries to make her feel better.

In this episode, Hee-won also falls sick while having an emotional conversation with Doo-joon. Here, they both see the baby through ultrasonography, and Hee-won’s feelings slowly start to change. In the second half of this episode, things get much better between these two characters. Hee-won also clears her name from the plagiarism case, and it becomes apparent who was actually to blame for that. The relationship progress is at a much better pace and to a very satisfactory level.

I really liked today’s episode because the character development between the leads finally feels genuine and earned. Their struggles come across as believable, and the way they quietly support each other during difficult moments adds emotional weight to the story. These small but sincere interactions make their bond feel natural rather than forced. I truly hope we get to see them acknowledge and embrace their feelings sooner. In the next episode, we might even see them agreeing to get married and coming to the decision of raising the child together.
