Healing drama plots are no strange news to Shin Min-a after her lead role in the Korean drama series Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, which means that playing the protagonist in the upcoming movie Our Season won’t be a tough task for her either. Displaying a heart-winning emotional bond between a mother and a daughter, Min-a will be seen with the veteran actress Kim Hae-sook in this 2023 South Korean fantasy film all set to take over the big screen premiere.
Ready to shower the audience with a masterful affectionate portrayal of the warmth exuded by the relationship between a mother-daughter duo, 3일의 휴가, which literally translates to 3 Days Vacation has been penned as a love letter to this one-of-a-kind bond in Yoo Young-ah’s screenplay. Yook Sang-hyo’s vision as the director brings this story alive on the big screen, while production company Showbox helms the distributing rights of the film. Much like how the trailer of the film has set the tone so far, this story proves that miracles do happen, especially when selfless love and care are involved, and which duo channels this definition of love better than mothers-daughters? Probably no one even comes close.
Our Season Movie Plot
In a miraculous opportunity, Park Bok-ja is granted a chance to see her daughter after passing away. As she steps down again for this special vacation, she’s left with more questions than before as she finds Jin-joo back at their hometown, running a local diner despite her job as a professor elsewhere.
Though Bok-ja is unable to ask her anything, she soon realises that her daughter is struggling with her feelings for her. With the short time that she’s ben allotted down here, she tries her best to open up to her daughter like she never has before.

Our Season Cast and Characters
Kim Hae-sook, the “nation’s mother” will be playing the role of Park Bok-ja, i.e. Shin Min-a’s onscreen mother who is granted a 3-day special vacation to visit her daughter after her death. Therefore, Hae-sook comes in as ghost from the afterlife. On the other hand, Min-a assumes the other leading role of the film as Bang Jin-joo, a university professor who had been living overseas, but travels back to her small hometown later on.
Alongside the two main cast members, Kang Ki-young plays the role of the Guide, who supposedly guides souls to the other world. Hwang Bo-ra also comes in with a pivotal role as Mi-jin, aka Jin-joo’s friend. Other than that, Cha Mi-kyung, Park Myung-hoon and others are seen as the fellow dwellers of the small pastoral town.
Our Season Release Date
The healing movie is all set to release in theatres (Korean release) on December 6, 2023. Its OTT premiere date is yet to be announced.
