Our Blues (우리들의 블루스) is a Korean drama series directed by Kim Kyu-tae and features Lee Byung-hun, Shin Min-a, Cha Seung-won, Lee Jung-eun, Han Ji-min, Kim Woo-bin, and Uhm Jung-hwa, alongside other cast members. The series has 20 episodes, and Our Blues Episode 20 is titled Ok-dong And Dong-seok 3 and has a runtime of 92 minutes.

In Our Blues Episode 20, Dong-seok takes his mother to Madang-ri, her hometown. When Dong-seok asks her why she wants to go there so much, she tells him that she wants to visit her parents and older brother’s grave. Dong-seok never knew about his mother’s family because his relationship with his mother was broken in childhood itself. Ok-dong lost her entire family when she was thirteen and had to start working at an early age to make a living.
Before going back to Jeju, Ok-dong tells Dong-seok to buy her Jajjangmyeon. Dong-seok had never seen her eat Jajjangmyeon and Ok-dong tells him that she used to eat it with her husband. Dong-seok asks her if she wants to go anywhere and she takes him to the shop where she used to cook and serve food after her family passed away. She answers all of Dong-seok’s questions and calls herself an idiot person who was always scared and thought just providing three meals for her son would be enough. She wished to born again in a wealthy family, get to study, marry a man who won’t die an untimely death and have a happy family life.

While going back to Jeju, Dong-seok understands that his mom has never seen Mount Halla after she has lived in Jeju for all these years. Even when the doctor advises against it, Dong-seok takes his mother to show her Halla-san. The mountain is snow-capped but Ok-dong is adamant about going up because she wants to see Baengnokdam lake. Ok-dong’s health has given up but she still wants to climb up. Dong-seok sends her down with some people and runs up to click a picture of the lake. Due to the bad weather, Dong-seok couldn’t reach the lake but he records a video of the mountain top and promises Ok-dong to bring her back to the mountain in Spring.
They return to Jeju and Dong-seok introduces Seon-a and Yeol to her. Seon-a asks her to stay at their home but she stresses to go back to her home. Dong-seok asks her if she should stay with him but she orders her to stay with Seon-a and Yeol. Before going, Dong-seok tells her that he will come in the morning to eat Deonjang Jiggae cooked by her. Ok-dong wakes up early in the morning and cooks it for Dong-seok. Dong-seok finds the meal prepared for him but his mom is going to wake up again. His mother left him only after feeding his son his favourite food and Dong-seok realizes that he never really resented her.
Our Blues Episode 20 Ending
The residents of Pureung and Osan-ri are having a friendly athletic tournament and all of the Pureung residents have prepared for it. Han-su and Mi-ran have come from Seoul to participate and Eun-gi, Yeong-hui and Seon-a have come to support them. The residents of Pureung are always there for each other and in this journey, everyone stuck together in good and the bad times.
Our Blues Episode 20 Review
Our Blues is a refreshing drama and does not follow the usual pattern of storytelling. This slice-of-drama does not have a single main lead, it is rather like a big novel with many characters. We would definitely love to see the next season of such a show. The creators of the show have rightfully told us the message behind the show in the post-credit scene- There is one thing we must remember in our lifetime. We weren’t born into this world to suffer or feel miserable. We were born to be happy. We wish everyone happiness.
