Oshi No Ko Season 2 Episode 7 Recap

This episode kicks off with the next act of the stage play, where we delve into the contrasting dynamics between Akane and Kana. This time, we finally see the Shibuya demons emerge and learn about the imminent showdown between the Shibuya and Shinjuku factions.

Within the play, Aqua squares off against the hero, while Kana races ahead to confront Akane, her natural rival. This encounter between them was masterfully portrayed, revealing the underlying reasons for their clash and why these two talented actresses can’t seem to work together. Beyond their starkly different personalities, they also share a history that has fueled their rivalry.

Akane grew up idolizing Kana, aspiring to be like her. But when she finally met her, she discovered that Kana was nothing like she had imagined. Additionally, Kana had been worn down by the adults around her, losing the charm she once had as she grew older. Now, Akane is determined to pull Kana back into the spotlight, hoping to see her return to her former self so they can finally stand as equals. However, what Akane doesn’t understand is that Kana’s wounds are still raw, and her mindset is entirely different from Akane’s ambitious drive.

Kana is an excellent actress because she prioritizes the director’s vision and what’s best for the whole team, rather than focusing solely on herself. Akane, in contrast, craves attention and aims to outshine everyone, much like Kana used to.
