Oshi No Ko Episode 2 Reactions: Fans Discuss the Symbolic Imagery and Superior Visuals

Oshi No Ko Episode 2 Reactions remain largely positive as the fans are incredibly impressed by the anime adaptation of their favourite manga series.

Oshi No Ko, or My Star, is a drama and supernatural anime based on a manga written by Aka Akasaka, who also wrote Kaguya-sama Love Is War and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. The anime adaptation is being directed by Daisuke Hiramaki, who has directed shows like Selection Project and Koisuru Asteroid in the past, alongside being a part of huge productions such as Bunny Girl Senpai and Naruto.

The series is being brought into the medium of anime by studio Doga Kobo, a relatively new studio which has been behind shows like Himotou Umaru-chan and Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie.

The second episode of the anime series is 20-25 minutes long and picks up from where the previous one ended. Initially, the story seems to be yet another wholesome story about an idol named Ai, who is a ball of sunshine. Besides being talented, she is empathetic and wishes for a family of her own. The 16-year-old happens to get pregnant and give birth to a pair of twins. However. the story drastically changes after her murder by an obsessed fan.

From the second episode, the story will mainly follow the twins, Aqua and Ruby. After their mother passed away, they lost direction in their lives momentarily however, both soon found their motivations. Ruby dreamed of becoming an idol like her mother and started training rigorously. Meanwhile, Aqua started to make up a revenge plan against the killer of his mother, who he believed to be his absent father, whom he knew nothing about.

Besides the amazing plot, the fans also praise the opening and ending songs which consist of symbolic imagery that reflects the character’s intentions. Moreover, the story progression is done flawlessly, along with the beautiful animation that elevates the storytelling process. They cannot wait for the upcoming episodes and witness how the story develops further.
