Oscars 2025 has come to an end, and what a night it has been for the industry, as stars from around the world gathered together for this spectacular event! The event took place on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, where many dazzling performances gave a beautiful start to the night, followed by winners who graciously took over the stage. As the nominees finally find out if they’ve caught the big award, the night comes to a beautiful end for many stars out there.
After a wonderful star-studded red carpet event, the night began with sparkles as fashion enthusiasts found themselves rushing to take a look at the beautiful looks their favourites took over. From Selena Gomez’s 1,90,000 crystal gown to Lisa’s tuxedo look, the red carpet event was surely one of the best this year.
Soon after the red carpet event, Conon O’Brien took over as the host of the event, the night began with a spectacular performance by Ariana Grande who brought to us a rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, followed by a tribute to the city of Los Angeles. While O’Brien won the hearts of Indian fans and viewers with his greeting in Hindi, K-Pop fans also had their moment when BLACKPINK’s Lisa gave her debut performance at the Academy Awards. Lisa alongside Raye and Doja Cat gave a wonderful musical tribute to James Bond Legacy and became the highlight of the event with ease.
The 97th Academy Awards was definitely spectacular for many but also an unexpected reveal for others. Despite leading the nominations race, Emilia Pérez with 13 nominations while Wicked and The Brutalist followed right behind with 10 nominations each, they were surely in for a surprise when Anora became the film to take over most awards. Surely the night wasn’t just spectacular but also one filled with surprises for everyone as the dark horse took the lead in the race and all for the right reasons. And this streak doesn’t stop here.
Mikey Madison won hearts and the Best Actress award with her performance in Anora taking over the biggest win of the night and also giving a breathtaking winning speech that was hard to miss. Adding to this list, Adrien Brody won his second Best Actor award with his stunning performance in The Brutalist while Zoe Saldañ took over the Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Pérez and Kieran Culkin won the Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain.
