Much anticipated single from BTS’ J-hope featuring American rapper J. Cole On the Street is now finally out, and we cannot keep calm! The K-pop star unveiled the song at 2 PM KST on March 3, 2023. The song is of the lo-fi hip-hop genre with heartwarming lyrics.
Following the mandatory enlistment news that the artist will be enrolling in the South Korean military soon, the latest single appears to be a parting gift for his fans. Apart from being a member of the popular K-pop group BTS, the rapper-producer is also known for his amazing talent and the multiple solo works he has released throughout the years.
The concept of the song is about J-hope’s journey, which started as a street dancer. The video opens with the artist petting a young boy’s head who represents the younger version of himself, innocent with big dreams. The lyrics “Every time I walk, Every time I Move, It is always for us” metaphorically talk about his fans who have supported and grown with him through thick and thin.
He walks the alleyway as he raps about his journey and the turmoil he has been through to accomplish his goals. The lyrics are beautiful and moving as he showcases his innermost feelings, which can be relatable to his fans as well.
