No Tail To Tell Episode 3 Recap

We see in this episode how things turned out the way they are. In the past, Si-yeol suddenly started to face contractual problems with his football club. He starts to face a major crisis in his career. But even then, it seemed like his relationship with his friend was great. Yet the fact remained that whenever Si-yeol offered to pay his friend any money, he flatly refused because he didn’t want to depend on him. That is when he got the idea of using the card that Eun-ho left him to grant his wish. And weirdly enough, Eun-ho comes to him to grant his wish. Thus, Woo-seok gets the knowledge about this nine-tailed fox who can grant wishes.

But this is where things become interesting because Woo-seok asks Si-yeol for a favor, and it is to play professionally. They both go to Eun-ho to make this wish, and she flat-out refuses because the wish is far greater than the price. Si-yeol then goes on to say that he will give his share of wishes to his friend, Woo-seok, which again gets rejected by Eun-ho because that would be considered a good deed. Si-yeol relentlessly asks her to do his bidding, and in that moment, Eun-ho agrees to grant the wish, but in a way she would see fit.

This is obviously what led to the current downfall of Si-yeol, who has turned into a normal human, and his friend, Woo-seok, a world-class footballer. Weirdly enough, rather than being upset with what has happened to his friend, Woo-seok actually becomes very happy that he became lucky. Needless to say, Si-yeol gets royally screwed by Eun-ho, who clearly does not care about anything other than her own profits. But in this episode, we also see the sad past of Eun-ho, who went through some really tough times, witnessing her beloved friend’s downfall. It is apparent that this experience made her so heartless and scheming.

On the other hand, it becomes very difficult for Si-yeol to live his current poor life as he has no idea what he is doing. Not only that, when he tries to go to his former home, he readily gets kicked out. The reality finally dawns on him that his life has changed for the worse, and that he would have to live like a normal man from now on. In this episode, we also see the arrival of a new villain who is expected to act against Eun-ho. In the end, Eun-ho does not really leave Si-yeol’s side as she becomes the one to save him when he lands himself in jail.

When asked why she did what she did, she tells him that his success was not his from the very beginning. She also lets him know she is willing to switch their places back if Woo-seok agrees to it as well, and that is where the episode ends.

I liked today’s episode as we got to see how the whole bad situation happened because Eun-ho got pissed. She really is mean-spirited now, but I think she will get good character development, making this series even better.
