No Longer Allowed In Another World Episode 2 Recap

No Longer Allowed In Another World Episode 3 Review Anti-Hero Is In Town

This episode was thoroughly entertaining and met my expectations. It begins with Sensei’s companions dragging his coffin to present him to the king for the first time. Sensei is fascinated by the new town and world, but his desire to die with his lover, Sachan, remains unchanged.

Before the king, Sensei shows no respect, clearly indifferent to the proceedings. During this audience, he learns about Princess Charlotte’s predicament of choosing between two suitors for marriage. Sensei and his companions are asked for their opinions, and Sensei boldly confronts the king, criticizing him for forcing his daughter into this situation, which impresses Charlotte.

Charlotte, inspired by Sensei’s bravery, finds a new purpose, albeit a troubling one involving her own demise. However, the episode doesn’t lack humour or action as a new threat targets the innocent and naive princess, who doesn’t fully grasp the concept of death.

This episode again opens with Tama and Anette dragging Sensei’s coffin towards the next destination. They have decided that they will visit the place where Tama is from, but before that, they must stop at one of the temples where a hero is supposed to reveal their presence. There are four such temples in this world where the other worlders are required to visit.

After that, they are instructed on their journey to defeat the dark lord. Sensei is not going to fight a dark lord and just wants to find his lover Sachan. Thus, to help him, Anette is going to do everything in her power to make sure he gets to know about his companion. Even, Tama comments on how devoted and in love she must be to do something like this. That is when we meet another new character, the Familiar of Anette. Sensei becomes intrigued with this creature and even gives a name to it.

However, their lively time gets interrupted when a dragon suddenly lands in between them out of nowhere. At first, it seemed that they might go unscathed, but when the dragon rider learns of Sensei’s identity as another worlder, all hell breaks loose. The things that transpired afterwards are something that you must see for yourself. Not only that, even the real identity behind the perpetrators who suddenly attacked Sensei and his company is a mystery.

Interestingly, in this episode, we also get to see the role of a hero in this world. Even though the presence of someone who comes from the other world is a very important one, most people do not trust them, just like Anette’s friend Ysha. And there is a very good reason behind her disdain, as we will see towards the end of this episode.

It will be intriguing to see whether Sensei can provide a positive outlook on the image of a hero in both the villain’s eyes and the normal human residence’s eyes. I also like how diverse the characteristics of Sensei’s companions are. They are not mindless fangirls like most of the harem anime showcases, and each possesses a unique personality.

Verdict

I loved today’s episode as well. This anime lets other characters shine and does not make Sensei the main focus. When he comes on screen, obviously, you are intrigued by his interesting take on life. But you like and root for the side characters as well.
