Ninja Kamui Episode 7 Review: Past Memories And Conflicts

Ninja Kamui Episode 7 Review: This episode again was absolutely spectacular, brought to us by the director of Jujutsu KaisenIt is one of the best action-packed thriller anime, so let us see how the 7th episode went in detail below.

Ninja Kamui Episode 7 Overview

Ninja Kamui is a captivating Japanese anime series brought to life by E&H Production and Sola Entertainment, with a touch of executive flair from Williams Street. Making its debut on Adult Swim’s Toonami lineup in February 2024, this show has been eagerly anticipated since its announcement in May 2022. Steering the series is director Sunghoo Park, while the iconic character designs come from Takashi Okazaki.

Ninja Kamui Episode 7 Review Past Memories And Conflicts

Ninja Kamui first got everyone buzzing when Adult Swim dropped a teaser trailer at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2023. Other than that, the video game version of Ninja Kamui, called Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins, is set to come out in the second quarter of 2024.

The theme song, “Vengeance,” by Coldrain, sets the stage as the opening of the show.

I have tried my best to keep the review as spoiler-free as possible, but there are certain elements that I had to mention to give proper feedback.

Ninja Kamui Episode 7 Review and Recap: Emma’s Origin Story

Ninja Kamui Episode 7 Review Past Memories And Conflicts

Another new episode dropped, and this was again an absolute rollercoaster ride from the very beginning. What I love about this show is how you do not feel like you are watching a 22-minute episode but rather a whole movie with so many things happening all at the same time. You never get bored even once, and even get fearful of looking away, because just like me, you don’t want to miss out on anything.

Considering where the previous episode ended, we all knew how intense this one was gonna be, and I was disappointed with the battle. Higan finally has his own high-tech Kamui gear, and he is a menace to his enemies. He is so in tune with the suit that it almost feels like it is made only for him. Higan comes off as very skilled when he uses the suit, as he performs even better than the lieutenants, whom he fought previously.

Hence, the situation is not as simple as it used to be anymore. Now, Higan is not a pathetic prey for the organisation, and they also should ramp things up if they want to kill our protagonist. With newfound powers, Higan can directly challenge his previous master and his past friend. But Zai is not going to stand aside and look at Higan to do whatever he wants. He also has a trump card up his sleeve.

This episode majorly dealt with Emma’s origin story and how she got to know about Mari. The special bond that these two ladies shared is also the one thing that actually saved Higan’s life. Here, we get some very important information as to what happened within the ninja organisation in the past, which led to the defection of so many ninjas.

Plus, Yamaji also has his own agendas and goals that we are yet to know. I believe these objectives are completely different from the original ideology of the past ninja society. And so that Higan does not come in between his plans, Yamaji is trying to kill him so desperately.

Verdict

This episode again was really good with some of the best fight scenes. The flashbacks actually helped me comprehend the story better and understand the characters more discreetly. The background music of this episode was very appropriately created, and it served the scenes well.

I really cannot wait for the next episode as we will finally know what the current ninja organisation’s or Yamaji’s true motive is.
