Nine Perfect Strangers episode 6 recap

It’s a bit after the birthday party from the last episode. Masha is standing alone in the kitchen, looking longingly at the last piece of cake and starts to hungrily eat it. We get flashbacks of her eating cake in a similar manner as a child. And just as early as it started, Masha comes back to reality and seems to be disappointed with herself for eating the cake. As she is washing up in Nine Perfect Strangers episode 6, she hears a noise.

Meanwhile, Francis is having a fevered dream of a tiny Paul taunting her regarding the money that he scammed her out of. Or maybe it’s the drugs – yeah, it’s probably the drugs. Anyway, the Money song from Cabaret reminded me of Schitt’s Creek so I love this episode already!

Again, she isn’t the only person who’s experienced these dreams. Lars, too, is dreaming of a time when his schoolmates made fun of him for being gay – think, the f-word. He wakes up with a start to find Masha in his bed. She knows what he was dreaming, much to his shock, and gives him a phone to record everything. He’s been living his whole life to tear the bullies down; now it’s his time to nurture something. So, he needs to record everything that happens that day.

That morning in Nine Perfect Strangers episode 6, Lars tells Zoe of his odd encounter with Masha. She’s baffled as well, and so are everyone around them. As they’re talking about controlling dreams, Masha comes in looking fresh and excited. Francis tells her about her crazy dream and it’s honestly hilarious!

Anyway, Masha lets the group know in Nine Perfect Strangers episode 6 that they will be increasing the dosage that day. However, it’s voluntary, plus, there will be more rules. No climbing, no water bodies and the buddy system is to be in place.

However, the biggest revelation comes from Carmel. She asks to have a session with Masha alone and tells her that she has been on psychotropics. So, she wants to know whether these new drugs would react with what she’s already having. Masha tells her that they know, however, Masha tells her that the former had an affair with Carmel’s husband. So, now she wants to know whether Carmel is the one sending nasty threats in Nine Perfect Strangers episode 6. What happens next is creepy as shit.

The drugs seem to be running wild inside everyone’s systems. It’s almost magical and creepy to see everyone being lost somewhere, more so because Masha is pushing the process, as Delilah points out. Well then, the next few scenes in Nine Perfect Strangers episode 6 are wild. Well, some of it was expected. But still, it’s wild! After Francis and Tony make out, they talk about deep stuff including dying and moving on with life. It feels hopeful and warm and kinda romantic.

Afterwards, Carmel and Lars talk to each other. It’s all deep conversations, the drugs doing their job at opening everyone up. However, the worst happens to Heather, who sees Zach and goes into hysteria. Delilah and restrain her and have to put her to sleep. Something about them all seeing Zach makes Masha curious and frightful though. She’s plotting something, and it’s going to be messy.

As Heather wakes up in Nine Perfect Strangers episode 6, Masha talks to Napolean, it comes to light that he, too, is pretty unhappy with his wife about Zach’s death. However, when Masha asks Napolean what he wants, he says that he wants his son back. She asks him, what if I can arrange that?

Masha later talks to the family about using psychedelics to create an alternate reality. So, basically, all of these people are guinea pigs sitting around to give Masha the solution that she is looking for. Which I don’t know is what. But right now is a crucial time for the series. It will determine the path it goes down – absolute doozy or crazy brain-scratcher.

Next, in Nine Perfect Strangers episode 6, Delilah is totally against what Masha is doing. She rants to Yao about what’s going on, but he seems to be very much in control of Masha and trusts her every move. She tells Delilah that whatever Masha is doing might work. Even if it didn’t last time, this time it might and that they have to keep going. However, Delilah thinks otherwise.

The last scene of Nine Perfect Strangers episode 6 is Masha sitting at the edge of the pool and meditating (?). As the snow falls, she thinks back to her past life and we get to know the pain that drives her – the death of her daughter.
