My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 14 Recap

Here, the spotlight is on the Central Hospital, where Kurogiri, a high-priority Nomu, is being held. His capture is crucial to All For One’s plans, making his retrieval a top priority.
To accomplish this, All For One dispatches Spinner, a lieutenant of the Paranormal Liberation Front, along with an army of Heteromorphs. Their drive to rescue Kurogiri isn’t just fueled by loyalty but by deep-rooted resentment. Historically, Heteromorphs have been subjected to severe discrimination, often being perceived as monstrous due to their appearances. They endured brutal treatment, beatings, and killings simply because they looked different.

While conditions improved over time in diverse urban areas, rural villages and smaller towns continued to harbour intense prejudice against Heteromorphs. Spinner and his followers channel their bitterness from these experiences, believing they are seeking true justice. Distrusting heroes, they’ve chosen a path of retaliation, seeking to strike back against the injustices they endured.
Opposing them are Tentacole and Anima, two heroes who are also Heteromorphs. Their main goal is to control the mob and not let anyone reach Kurogiri at any cost.
My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 15 Review and Recap

Today’s episode showcased events that slowly got worse for the heroes, and it is still a mystery how they will recover from this. From the previous episode, we know that the Tentacole was trying his best to stop Spinner and other Heteromorphs from attempting to save Kurogiri. Kurogiri is one of the most prominent members of the villain organisation, whose ability to create travel paths for anyone at any time is a must to win the battle. Thus, All For One wanted to save and get hold of him for a very long time and sent some of his elite villains to do the work.
But what he did not expect is that there would be a heteromorph waiting to stop Spinner and others who were essentially just brainwashed to do All For One’s bidding. All For One knew about Spinner’s hatred towards normal-looking humans and utilised that to achieve his goals. But finally, Tentacole’s sincerity, coupled with Anima’s dedication and the courage of the other doctor personnel, much of the heteromorphs come to their senses. They realised whatever they were doing only made the situation against heteromorphs worse and created a bad reputation against them.

If things could have stopped here, everything would have been nice. But sadly, that was not the case. From this point on, things get progressively worse, and everything starts with Spinner finally releasing Kurogiri from his shackles. His release immediately worsens the situation for both Hawks and Endeavour, who were facing off against All For One at that moment.
Kurogiri immediately transferred an overly obsessed and too fired up for his own good Dabi to his father. On the other hand, he brings a vengeance-craving Himiko to Hawks. Both Dabi and Himiko go through enormous psychological and emotional growth, which not only hardened their will to destroy everything but also transformed them into full-fledged villains.

Verdict
Today’s episode was extremely intense, and you can sense everything going wrong. This is the point of no return, and from here on, you can expect only bad things for our heroes. Kurogiri is finally in the game, and his presence is more advantageous than anyone could imagine. Plus, his determination to save Tomura is no joke.
