My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 25 Overview

Stain My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 25

So this is it. This was the end of the best season of My Hero Academia so far. Let’s get it out of the way first- it was always going to be a setup episode. Most final episodes of non-final seasons are. With the show not having a clear direction to go in after the events of the dark Deku arc, we needed a foundation upon which to build the final confrontation between good and evil. After keeping him on the sidelines for a while, the show put the responsibility on the capable shoulders of beloved All Might.

That makes a lot of sense for multiple reasons. For one- All Might was the original ray of hope and the person who defeated All For One the first time. People still love him, and having retired officially as a hero, he didn’t face the public’s wrath as much as the other heroes did. He also had nothing to do and much to offer at the moment. This also gave the show time to resolve this season’s one dangling plot thread so far- the inevitable confrontation between Hero Killer Stain and All Might. It finally occurred here and went about as well as it could have.

Deku and Friends My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 25

There was a lot of tension between the two, with Stain’s character coming off as remarkably consistent in his ideology when compared to the last time we saw him speak. With his whole thing being “All Might is the only worthy enough to kill me”, their interaction made sense, even if it did come across as somewhat underwhelming. However, it didn’t look to be the end of it for the two, so we can let this one slide. This was also how we found out about the new direction of the show, which is about All Might having many people to back him in his fight against All For One. Things are going to pick up very soon.

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 25 also showed us how Class 1-A is reacting to having Deku back with them, and even if this isn’t going to last for very long, it was nice to see them still having the same fun and banter that they used to have. They understand what Deku has been going through all this time now and look to be much more involved in My Hero Academia Season 7 as a result. Deku has light back in his eyes because of all this; if anyone deserves this, he does.

With no My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 26 on the way, this is the last time we are seeing these characters for a while. The upcoming season is too close to the manga canon’s timeline to be following the same schedule as the previous six, and we might just have a longer break from the series than we are used to. After a season like this, it has earned every bit of that break. My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 25 was a great way to build anticipation towards the next season and towards the series’ rapidly approaching finale.

Verdict

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 25 was a setup episode and a sign of good things to come. The season ended with an exciting new development and, finally, something that looked like a relief for the heroes.
