My Happy Marriage (My Blissful Marriage) or Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon (わたしの幸せな結婚) is a new anime series which premiered on Netflix. Based on the light novel of the same name written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka, it also has a manga adaptation illustrated by Rito Kohsaka. Following the story of Miyo, who enters an arranged marriage with a ruthless commander, officially got its own anime series announced to be directed by Takehiro Kubota under Kinema Citrus Studios. Ami Satō, Takahito Ōnishi and Momoka Toyoda are credited as the writers, and Evan Call gives the music.
Licensed under Netflix, the series is scheduled to run for 12 episodes. With an estimated duration of 20-25 minutes each, the episodes are available in English dub and subtitles. The opening theme song is Anata no Soba ni (貴方の側に。, “By Your Side”) by Riria and the ending theme song, Vita Philosophica (ヰタ・フィロソフィカ), is performed by Kashitarō Itō.

SAIMORI FAMILY
Miyo Saimori
The series’ female lead, Miyo Saimori, is the main character. She is the eldest child in the Saimori family and the fiancée of Kiyoka Kudou. She is the daughter of Shinichi Saimori and Sumi Saimori. Grown in miserable circumstances during her childhood, her life significantly changes after moving to the Kudo household. Reina Ueda is the Japanese voice actor for the anime series.
Kaya Saimori
The younger half-sister of Miyo Saimori, who is engaged to Kouji Tatsuishi, Kaya Saimori is the second daughter of the Saimori family and possesses the supernatural gift inherited from her ancestors. Kaya Saimori has the Spirit-Sight ability, which enables her to see Grotesquerie and remotely view locations by connecting her vision with a shikigami charm. Ayane Sakura is the Japanese voice actor for the anime.
Shinichi Saimori
The patriarch of the Saimori family and the father of Miyo Saimori and Kaya Saimori, Shinichi Saimori, has always preferred Kaya over Miyo because Kaya inherited the supernatural abilities from the Saimori family. Moreover, he tried his hardest to break Miyo and Kiyoka’s relationship but he failed in the end. Hiroshi Yanaka voices the character.
Kanoka Saimori
The mother of Kaya Saimori, who resents Sumi Saimori (Miyo Saimori’s mother) for preventing her from marrying the man she loved, is Kanoko Saimori. Sumi is Shinichi Saimori’s second wife. She abused and made Miyo’s life miserable throughout her childhood. Moreover, she was one of the main assailants during the kidnapping of Miyo Saimori. Kana Ueda voices the character.
USUBA FAMILY
Aarata Usuba
Arata Usuba, who publicly goes by an alternative alias, Arata Tsuruki, is the son of the current head of the Usuba family and the cousin of Miyo Saimori. He possesses the Usuba family’s power and swears to protect Miyo from any harm. In a battle he defeats Kiyoka so that he can bring Miyo to the Usuba family. Ryohei Kimura voices the character in the series.
Yoshirou Usuba
Yoshirou Usuba is the grandfather of Arata Usuba and Miyo Saimori. Although the head of the Usuba family is currently Arata’s father, he is the one who is actually in charge. Kosei Hirota is the voice actor for the character.

Sumi Saimori
Sumi Saimori is the biological mother of Miyo Saimori, who got married into the Saimori family when the Usubas were going through a financial crisis. She was suffering from a disease and died at a young age. However, before passing away, she sealed her daughter’s powers in order to protect her from getting exploited. The Japanese voice actor is Noriko Hidaka for the anime series.
KUDOU FAMILY
Kiyoka Kudo
Kiyoka Kudo is the lead protagonist of the series and head of the Kudo family. He is also the commander of the Special Anti-Grotesquerie Unit and Miyo Saimori’s fiance. He possesses the supernatural power of pyrokinesis and can be considered one of the most powerful people in the series. Kaito Ishikawa voices the character in Japanese for the anime series.
Hazuki Kudo
Hazuki Kudou is the older sister of Kiyoka Kudou, the ex-wife of Masashi Ookaito and the mother of Asahi Ookaito. She is the daughter of Tadakiyo Kudou and Fuyu Kudou. Yoko Hikasa voices the character.
TATSUISHI FAMILY
Kouji Tatsuishi
The future head of the Saimori family and the second son of the Tatsuishi family, Kouji Tatsuishi, is engaged to Kaya Saimori. Following the kidnapping of Miyo Saimori, he started to train in the old capital to improve his fighting abilities. The voice actor for the character is Koutaro Nishiyama.
Minoru Tatsushi
Former Tatsuishi family patriarch Minoru Tatsuishi. He was compelled to hand over leadership to Kazushi Tatsuishi, his oldest son, because of his involvement in the kidnapping of Miyo Saimori. Following the one-on-one battle between him and Kiyoka, the entire Saimori household was burned down. Kenyu Horiuchi voices the character for the anime.
Kazushi Tatsushi
In the My Happy Marriage series, Kazushi Tatsuishi is a supporting character. He is Minoru Tatsuishi’s eldest child and the current head of the Tatsuishi family. Toshinari Fukamachi voices the character in Japanese.
