My Demon Episode 3 Recap and Review

My Demon Episode 3 Recap

This episode starts with Gu-won saving Do-hee from the acid attack and revealing himself as a demon with mysterious powers. Later, Do-hee goes to the police station to report the attack and realises that this incident might be related to the murder of the Mirae group’s financial head. At the police station, we also see a homeless person called Noh Suk-nyeo, leaving some prophetic predictions for Gu-won, claiming that he might die in a very insignificant way.

Later in the car, Gu-won gives more details about himself and what he does, but Do-hee does not take him seriously. This is when she gives him a proposal. He can become her bodyguard, stay close to his precious tattoo, and save her with his amazing powers at the same time.

When in her house, Do-hee calls chairwoman Cheon-sook and asks her about the murder of her employee and discloses he called Do-hee before to trade an important intell. Cheon-sook disregards her suspicions but looks into all the news articles about the dead employee and the financial statements for the last decade. Cheon-sook goes through everything and worriedly realises she has been blind all this time about her company.

Somewhere else, Gu-won goes through the process of spontaneous combustion for not making contracts with humans. He then quickly calls Do-hee and takes her to a hospital, where he makes a contract with the mother of a dying child. This situation disturbs Do-hee, and she berates him for taking advantage of humans, whereas he defends himself for essentially saving humans at a price, as nothing in this world is free. They both argue, and Do-hee leaves him to contemplate his choices. Again, we see Cheon-sook calling someone and revealing how she will make them pay for killing someone on top of doing dirty tricks.

On the other hand, Gu-won starts to feel guilty about his actions and visit the hospital to realise the negative aspects of his work and Do-hee after much thought, realises the good aspect of Gu-won’s work. They both come to an understanding and decide to help each other out by working together. Now, Gu-won is her full-time bodyguard.

Sadly, later, Do-hee finds the chairwoman dead in her garden with Gu-won. We also witness a heartbreaking funeral as nobody other than Do-hee is sad about Cheon-sook’s passing away. Do-hee even has an ugly confrontation with Soo-an and Do-kyung, where their actions prove they are happy that Cheon-sook has died, and now they can have all her money. At the funeral, surprisingly, we see Do-hee’s deranged stalker/assassin as a security guard.

Afterwards, from the family meeting, we also learn that Cheon-sook did not die of a normal heart attack as someone, most likely from within the family, tampered with her medicine and potentially killed her. The family members are eager to hide this info from everyone, but Do-hee reveals everything in front of all the guests at the funeral.

All of the family members try to silence Do-hee before the reading of the will. But fate has different plans for them as Cheon-sook leaves everything to Do-hee, with the condition she gets married within a year.

This is when Do-hee decides to find out who tried to kill Cheon-sook by claiming that the only way they can stop her from getting all of the inheritance is by killing her. Do-hee also proposes to Gu-won in front of everyone at the funeral.

My Demon Episode 3 Review

The third episode delivered many twists and turns, and now things are becoming more interesting. Till now, I have just positive things to say about the chemistry between the leads, plus the mystery aspect is keeping me at the edge of my seat. This episode sets up the stage to put the leads in a compromising position, and now we might see more romance in the next episode because of it.

All in all, this is another fire episode, and I just want to find out whether Gu-won accepts Do-hee’s proposal or not.
