Must Watch Anime of 2025: Unmissable Releases For Fans!

Must Watch Anime of 2025: Every year, we get tons of anime, and sometimes we get great shows, whereas sometimes we get subpar experiences. 2024 was one of the better years, where we saw some marvelous entries like Bleach TWBY Part 3, Dandadan, Solo Leveling, etc.

Thankfully, 2025 also has some pretty good shows lined up that should definitely pique your interest. Thus, in this list, I have added some of the must watch anime of 2025 that are absolutely unmissable!

Must Watch Anime of 2025

One Punch Man 3

Release Date: Tentative

Finally!!! Yes, One Punch Man Season 3 is finally on its way, and after such a long wait, we are more than ready to be rewarded with this new season. The last we saw of this anime was in 2019, so the excitement is very much discernible.

This season, we will explore the rest of the Monster Association Arc, where we will see the most anticipated fight scene between Garou and Saitama. Who do you think will win? Can Saitama’s winning streak stay, or will he take his very first loss?

Dandadan Season 2

Release Date: July 2025

Dandadan season 1 ended on such a weird cliffhanger that they had to release it soon because any later would have been criminal. Here, we will see what is up with the bizarre town Jiji lives in and what will happen to Momo, who launches herself into a very troublesome situation.

We will also uncover the secret behind the hidden room, which might be connected to the demon Jiji sees frequently. Okarun should also be ready to fight with any threats that come his and Momo’s way.

Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise from the Shadow

Release Date: Jan 5, 2025

In a few days, we will see the 2nd season of this anime, and I am absolutely stoked about it. Here, we will see Jinwoo climbing up the power scale and becoming stronger than ever.

We will finally explore the Jeju Island incident in Solo Leveling which marked a turning point in the series, bringing about significant casualties and emotional turmoil that deeply influenced its trajectory. Hopefully, the makers will be able to make this season as enjoyable as its predecessor.

My Hero Academia Final Season

Release Date: October 2025

The end of another era is here, as another mainstream Shounen is concluding. We will finally see Deku vs Tomura and All Might vs All For One, which should break the internet. We might also see our beloved heroes as grown-ups and witness Deku’s growth as a teacher and hero.

Even though many might have different opinions about the manga’s ending, everyone will have high hopes for the finale.

Sakamoto Days

Release Date: January 11, 2025

This is one of the most hyped new anime that is going to release soon. The story revolves around Sakamoto, who left a life in the underworld for a woman. Now that he is settled as a family man with a child, past enemies seeking him out is not funny.

Thus, he must keep things in control, at least so that his family does not get affected. But he will not achieve this in an easy way and might have to resort to his old methods.

Dr. Stone Season 4 (Dr. Stone: Science Future)

Release Date: January 9, 2025

This season will focus on new adventures and inventions from the best anime scientist, Senku. It will also be the first part of the final season, meaning we are moving towards the end.

Here, Senku should be able to get all the answers, and we should know why everyone turned to stone. This season also introduces new characters, like Dr. Xeno, brought to life by Kenji Nojima, and Stanley Snyder, voiced by Kōji Yusa.

Fire Force Season 3

Release Date: April 2025

This anime is also coming after such a long time, and fans are absolutely thrilled. This time, Fire Force Season 3 will pick up from the intense Stigma Arc and dive straight into the action-packed Obi’s Rescue Arc. We can look forward to more thrilling battles, deeper mysteries, and the unwavering drive of Company 8 as they face new challenges.

The growing tension between the Special Fire Force and the enigmatic White Clad organization pushes the boundaries of what’s possible with intense battles.

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2

Release Date: July 2025

The way the 1st season ended, the next season should have some great twists and turns. Kafka will finally be allowed to fight the Kaijus in his monster form, that too, after being transferred to the First Division.

Here, he will have new battles, not just with monsters but also with challenges to prove his worth to his fellow officers. We will also see the escapades of Gen Narumi who is one of the strongest characters of this series.

Witch Hat Atelier

Release Date: Tentative

Honestly, I am the most excited about this one as it reminds me of Frieren and The Ancient Magus’ Bride. This has the potential to be the best of 2025, and the story also seems good enough to accomplish it.

Here, we will witness the journey of Coco, who suddenly had an opportunity to be a witch after a chance encounter. After unleashing a disaster, she gets rescued by the witch Qifrey, with whom she begins her journey as his apprentice.

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity

Release Date: Tentative

Sparks are bound to fly when two individuals from very different backgrounds find themselves falling for each other. That is the case for a kind-hearted boy, Rintarou from a rough academy who crosses paths with a spirited girl, Kaoruko from an elite institution. Despite the divide between their schools, Rintarou hopes to build a friendship with her.

This one can be the biggest romance anime of this season, and I am here for it.

Some other shows I am looking forward to include Wind Breaker Season 2, Spy x Family Season 3, The Apothecary Diaries Season 2, Gachiakuta, etc.

Let us know in the comments below which one you are the most excited about.
