5 Musical Collaborations If Happened Would Break the Internet: Taylor Swift-Harry Styles, Doja Cat-Megan Thee Stallion and More

In the entertainment industry, musical collaborations generally mean summoning fandoms of both the artists and having them battle it out and see whether their faves were rightly done by or not. However, there are some collaborations that wouldn’t just be fun to see but would actually cause chaos in the fandom. Whether it be two tense artists coming together to make a track about peace or two rumoured partners subtly letting their fans know of their situation, this kind of partner often involves the entire internet discourse to be about them.

Musical Collaborations That Would Break the Internet

Taylor Swift-Harry Styles

Swifties know exactly what this writer is alluding to because the last time Harry Styles started trending, it was based on the news that they may be collaborating on Style (Taylor’s Version). If that is the case, then the internet would well and truly break because they have been begging for a collaboration exactly like this, especially after Styles’ dance got extremely popular with her song. They were rumoured to be dating in the past, and since then, fans have always wanted there to be some collaboration to fulfil all of this tension.

Doja Cat-Megan Thee Stallion

There is a major feud between these two artists. So much so that MTV even has a program where they play the artist’s songs separately. The show is even titled Doja Cat vs Megan Thee Stallion. It means that there is some serious beef between them. While this started as a proxy beef, Nicki Minaj features in this for a while. However, if they decide to set aside their differences and actually collaborate, they would set the rap fandom on fire, and TikTok would officially lose its mind. Both of them carry the genre on their back so well that it would be like one of those once in a lifetime collaborations no one would be able to handle.

Liam Payne-Louis Tomlinson

All the One Direction fans are feeling this deep in their bellies because any collaboration between the boys would entail that there may be a reunion coming soon. Of course, there is no direct connection, but fans can dream, especially to have one of their favourite bands come back after the longest hiatus. Since Payne was at Tomlinson’s documentary premiere, it is possible that there is something cooking between the two artists, and it is coming soon. They have had quite an ongoing friendship, with the two of them often poking fun at each other and finding new ways to support each other.

Lana Del Ray-Phoebe Bridgers

Our ultimate sad girls collaborating would send the internet into a deep abyss of melancholy, but they would be so happy about the collaboration that it wouldn’t even feel imposing. LDR has the most dreamy high voice, and Bridgers literally carries listeners to a trance with her semi-baritone. If the two of them collaborated, their combined lyrical ability and production ingenuity would make the most entrancing and beautiful-sounding track ever. If that isn’t reason enough, the potential music video itself would be enough to make it worth the long wait.

Lil Nas X-Ice Spice

While this combination sounds incredibly weird, just hear the writer out. Considering how both of these artists are extremely okay with exhibiting their sexuality, they also have similar vibes. Additionally, it seems like they would both be okay with pushing the boundaries of what is considered to be socially acceptable and making music that would include some kind of social commentary. Some people even thought that the Karma music video was actually a collaboration between the aforementioned artists and not with Swift.
