Metallic Rouge Episode 2 Preview: Metallic Rouge, also known as Metarikku Rūju (メタリックルージュ) is an anime series which is an original production by Bones Studio to commemorate their 25 years in the industry. Helmed by director Motonobu Hori, the series composition and chief supervision duties are expertly handled by Yutaka Izubuchi. Toshizo Nemoto takes charge of the screenplay, while the characters are brought to life through the creative designs of Toshihiro Kawamoto. The musical score is composed by Taisei Iwasaki.

Yu-ka enchants audiences with the opening theme song, Rouge, and Dazbee serenades the conclusion with the ending theme, Scarlet. The series has secured licensing by Crunchyroll for regions beyond Asia. In Southeast Asia, Medialink has obtained the licensing rights and is streaming the series on the Ani-One Asia YouTube channel.

Metallic Rouge Plot

In a captivating world where the harmony between humans and artificial beings prevails, the narrative unfolds around Rouge Redstar, an android girl, and her steadfast companion Naomi Orthmann. Entrusted with a high-stakes mission, the duo embarks on a thrilling journey to Mars. Their task is none other than to confront and neutralize nine rebellious androids who pose a significant threat to the government known as the Immortal Nine. As they navigate through the complexities of this coexistent society, Rouge and Naomi find themselves entangled in a web of political intrigue and moral dilemmas, raising questions about the very essence of humanity in a world blurring the lines between artificial and organic life.

In the upcoming episode, Rouge, along with Naomi, will try to hunt down the other rogue Neans who pose a threat to the government. However, the plot might also significantly change due to some unforeseen twists and turns. Moreover, there is more battle sequences that the fans will witness.

Metallic Rouge Episode 1 Recap

Rouge is on a mission to investigate the popular singer Sarah Fitzgerald, suspecting her to be Viola, one of the nine Neans. After a concert, Rouge reports her findings to Naomi, communicating through a mechanical bird. Meanwhile, a mysterious man attempts to steal a shipment of Nectar, a substance used by Neans. Later that night, Sarah injects herself with Nectar, revealing her true identity as Viola. The red gladiator, Jaron, attacks her, leading to a chaotic escape.

Viola confronts Jaron, realizing he orchestrated the attack to eliminate Rouge, their investigator. As the truth unfolds, Rouge and Naomi close in on Viola. In a dramatic battle, Rouge defeats Viola, marking the third death of the dangerous Neans. Despite Viola expressing liking for Rouge, the emotionless agent shows no remorse, eagerly indulging in a chocolate bar prepared by Naomi. The episode concludes with the mission accomplished, leaving Rouge seemingly unfazed by the demise of her own kind.
