May It Please the Court (변론을 시작하겠습니다) is an upcoming Disney+ original Korean series, releasing next month. It is written by Dan Kim, winner of the KOCCA Content Story award, and directed by Min-gu Kang (known for The Goddess of Revenge, Itaewon Class). Based on the novel of the same name by Jung Hye-Jin.
The drama follows two lawyers who are forced to work together after discovering a web of conspiracies that threatens to destroy their cases. The released teaser and poster reveal the stellar cast including Jung Ryeo-won, Lee Kyu-hyung, Jung Jin-young, Kim Hye-eun and others.
In the poster, Jung Ryeo-won is looking straight ahead with a relaxed expression. Along with the phrase, “The winning rate is 92%, ‘Crazy Dog’ is coming”, Jung Ryeo-Won plays the role of ace lawyer Noh Chak-Hee, who will do anything to win.

In the drama, No Chak-hee works for a big law firm, is willing to take any risk to win a case and has become an ace attorney at the law firm. She is set to receive a promotion to a partner position, but a problem occurs in a case she accepted. Due to this, she almost gets suspended for a year.
Instead, No Chak-hee begins to work as a public defender. She hopes to return to her position at the law firm where she worked previously. As a public defender, she shares an office with fellow public defender Jwa Shi-baek (played by Lee Kyu-hyung).
Jwa Shi-baek graduated from the Judicial Research and Training Institute as a top student. He had his choice of becoming a judge, prosecutor, or attorney at a big law firm, but he chose to work as a public defender. He is enthusiastic about his work and also has a mysterious part of his personal life that nobody knows about.

No Chak-hee and Jwa Shi-baek don’t get along very well, but they get involved in a serial murder case. The victims are wealthy elderly people and they have to work together to get out of the mess that the case might put them in. The teaser also reveals the contrasting personality of both the characters.
As Lee Kyu-hyung stares at the case file with a serious expression and an ice cream in one hand, the subtitle ‘special’ comes up on the screen. Meanwhile, Jung Ryeo-won tears up the paper as if angry but instantly smiles on seeing the camera. The drama will show the opposite charms of both the character.
