In a rush, groups of four people were formed and they were asked to immediately make the workstation, on which they will have to cook. Once everyone got settled, they were asked to take out the aprons from the counters which revealed the team colours. Team Blue consisted of Santa, Gurkirat, Divya and Yashu. Team Green consisted of Sachin, Urmila Baa, Kamaldeeep and Vineet. Lastly, Team Read consisted of Deepa, Priya, Avinash and Dyuti.
They were tasked with making a four-course meal within the time period of 90 minutes and after evaluation of every course, one team will be awarded the immunity for the week and will join others in the gallery. Team red seemed to be working systematically, with every person assigned a particular course to work on.
Team green had an emotional meltdown when they forgot to get some important ingredients for the soup but decided to work with what was available. Team blue’s main concern was getting all the things on time, as they had a vast menu to prepare. Fortunately, all the teams were able to complete the challenge on time and present their creations.
In the first-course team red-named their dish – finding the silk route and putting together dishes from Sindh to Bengal in the hummus and pita way. Team green made Bajra vade, filled with feta cheese and pomegranate. Team blue made Banaras ki chaat with tomato chaat disc and was complimented for the presentation. However, in terms of taste and overall, team green won the round.
For the second course, Team red made spinach and almond shorba with a cracker, the judges found it to be very spicy and off-balanced. Team blue made corn soup with sesame lavash and was complimented for its wholesomeness, while team green made tangy coconut soup from the ingredients they had and was thoroughly enjoyed by the judges. However, Team blue took the win in the soups category.

In the third course, the main dishes were served where Team red made a dish from Orissa called Chingudi nadia rasa. It is made from prawns and coconut. Team blue made Assamese cuisine with bagara rice and skewered chicken and team green made majlisi kebab but in a different way, since they lacked one ingredient. The chefs chose team red’s dish for the win, in this round.
Lastly, for desserts team green presented Mishti doi cheesecake with tomato jam, but Chek Vikas found it more like a mousse. Team blue made strawberry rabri entremet with strawberry jelly and crumble for texture but the kevda overpowered their dish. Team red made payesh tres leches with their own twist and definitely won the judges with its flavours.
