MasterChef India Season 7 Episode 49 is hosted by Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and joined by Garima Arora as a judge on the show, the seventh instalment of the series has been produced by Endemol Shine India and directed by Neeraj Shetty. From Gurkirat being held responsible for burning his team’s pizza, to Nayanjyoti finally receiving the long-due praise from the horse’s mouth and Santa’s team winning the challenge, a lot has unfolded in the brand new episode of the reality TV show.
The latest episode of the show, titled ‘Pizza Showdown’, that premiered on March 9, 2023, at 9PM IST, features the two teams present their second batch of pizzas to the judges and guests. Tension rises as the home cooks wait out to see which team is awarded with more coins from the guests than the other.
The cooking competition show is a nationwide quest to find the best ‘home cook’ and draws out some of the most brilliant chefs from across India. The judges sample recipes from various cuisines that the contestants prepare in their search for India’s ‘MasterChef’. And after going through many challenges, one will win the grand prize and the titles.
Yesterday, the contestants were caught in the culinary action at Abu Dhabi’s Ferrari World, and the same challenge resumed in today’s entry as well. In addition to the usual cooking tests, the show also allowed for a treasure hunt to take place that came as a shocking surprise to the viewers, and not all of them accepted it with a smile on their faces. Nevertheless, what actually made the fans happier than ever was the blissful sight of Nayanjyoti being applauded by Chefs Ranveer and Garima.

However, such happy headlines are usually followed by something bitter too, and the Indian rendition of MasterChef follows suit. Once the episode had wrapped up, the 50th entry’s promo at the end left netizens heartbroken as it hinted towards the possibility of Priyanka’s ultimate elimination from the show after a long run. The fans have taken into account how she’s barely been encouraged through the course of the seventh season of the cooking competition, yet she’s remained a constant favourite among the audiences, much like Nayanjyoti and Santa.
