MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 54 Review: Last Immunity Goes to…

MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 54 is the last Immunity Challenge of this season. In the previous episodes, contestants Justin, Elise and Linda won the Everything Box Challenge. Whoever wins the Immunity Challenge will directly make it to the finals next week.

The Immunity Challenge is called Lucky Dip Immunity Challenge. When the contestants enter the MasterChef Australia Season 13 kitchen, they see 60 cloches inside. Judges Andy Allen, Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo, inform the contestants that they have to pick two cloches and use the ingredient/equipment/cuisine to make the dish. They will get one chance to pick another cloche and exchange one ingredient.

Linda is the first one to pick up the cloches in MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 54. The ingredients she gets are preserved lemon and lemon verbena. Jock asks her if she wants to exchange one ingredient; she says she’s happy with the lemons. Elise gets dark chocolate and pistachios and happy with the ingredients. Justin gets hibachi and Italian under his cloches. He decides to exchange Italian, and the third cloche has ‘sweet’ mentioned under it. So the pairings he gets are Hibachi and sweet.

For MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 54 Immunity Challenge, Linda decides to cook a dish her paternal grandmother taught her during childhood. The dish she cooks is called Duck and lemon verbena broth with charred bok choy, pan-fried duck breast with a preserved lemon glaze and boiled Jasmine rice. Elise serves Pistachio Gelato with Chocolate Mousse and Rainforest Cherry. Justin makes Popcorn ice cream popsicles with choc peanut crumb and charred orange granita.

MasterChef Australia Season 13 judges taste all three dishes. Elise and Justin’s dishes have some flaws. But Linda serves the best dish of the evening, and she wins the last immunity of this season. The contestant has made it to the finals and won’t be a part of all Elimination Challenge on Sunday.
