MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 45 Review: Top 10 Revealed

MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 45 is a crucial Elimination Challenge. After a contestant gets elimination, the competition will get its Top 10. After winning the Immunity Challenge, Justin has already made it to the Top 10. Judges Andy Allen, Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo, tell the contestants that the challenge will take part in two different rounds.

MasterChef Australia Season 13 judges invite Nick Holloway, who brings along three different dishes from his Nu Nu restaurant. These are two savoury dishes and one sweet dish. The challenge is called Nu Nu Menu Tasting Elimination Challenge.

For the first round of MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 45, contestants Aaron, Elise, Depinder, Kishwar, Linda, Minoli, Pete, Scott, Sabina, Tommy have to taste these three dishes and write down the ingredients in 15 minutes. Five contestants who guess most ingredients will be safe, and those who guess the least names will be sent to the second round.

The contestants who guess maximum names accurately are Tommy, Elise, Kishwar, Linda and Sabina. They head up to the gantry as they’ve already made it to the Top 10 of MasterChef Australia Season 13. Contestants Aaron, Depinder, Minoli, Scott and Pete are in the second round. They have to make an exceptional dish using the ingredients used to make Nick Holloway’s three dishes. The contestants get 75 minutes to cook the best dish, and whoever makes the least impressive dish will send its maker home.

If you are one of those who thought contestants are making lots of ice cream and curries, well, Pete has trolled you rightly. Using Holloway’s ingredients, Pete decides to make Curry Ice Cream. Andy and Nick are doubtful of his dish. Well, anyone would be! Pete himself is worried if he will be able to put up a good dish or not. But still decides to go with his plan.

After a long time, Scott decides to make a dessert. Using the tropical fruits, he cooks Pavlova. The judges are excited to taste his dessert. Scott’s final dish is called Pavlova Roulade with Hibiscus flower cream, Molasses and lime granita, BBQ Pineapple, finger lime and mint, peanut praline. During his cook, Scott was worried if he will be able to put up a dish or not. But he eventually succeeds.

Minoli is happy with the ingredients from Nick Holloway’s menu items. The MasterChef Australia Season 13 contestant sticks to her roots and cooks Sri Lankan Prawn Soup with Young Coconut and Pineapple. Even Minoli’s dish sounds delicious to judges and Nick.

Aaron also picks up prawns as his main dish. He cooks Coconut fried prawns, lime & chilli mayo & a pineapple and peanut salsa. The judges ask him if his dish is enough at this level of MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 45 Elimination Challenge. Mel and Jock are worried that his dish might be too simple, and if only he manages to pack a lot of flavours, it will save him.

Depinder decides to cook Coriander Prawn Curry, Pineapple Pachadi, Glutinous Cumin Rice and Salted Buttermilk. Nick Holloway and MasterChef Australia Season 13 judges are worried about her Glutinous Rice as it takes time to cook. They are concerned for her as there are chances that the rice may not cook entirely.

After 75 minutes, the judges and Nick Holloway taste all the dishes. They love Minoli, Scott and Pete’s dishes the most. They think Aaron’s dish is like a ‘weird party in a room where noone wants to talk to each other’. Depinder’s curry is super delicious and flavourful. However, her rice is a bit undercooked. The judges think Aaron’s dish was the weakest, and he gets eliminated from the show.

MasterChef Australia Season 13 gets their Top 10 contestants – Depinder, Elise, Justin, Kishwar, Linda, Minoli, Pete, Scott, Sabina, and Tommy.
